I recovered some unused but still strong carpet material and fashioned a sling from that. It took some fiddling to account for thickness and so forth, but I then set some plastic sheeting over it (having made several sets). To keep it supple and thwart the ravages of winter and summer extremes, I cover both slings with those ubiquitous shopping bags we all love to hate. Works for me. I am wondering whether anyone knows of similar sources of info for other countries, as I would like to put together as complete info as possible for the Europa guide to flying in Europe.(current version on the club website) Regards, David Joyce ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 02:50:38 PM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Aeropoxy 458 From: "rparigoris" Anyone have any experiance with Aeropoxy 458 two-component, thin paste, lightweight fairing and finish splining compound as an alternative to polyester style finishing filler? **Aeropoxy light is about 4 pounds per gallon (similar in weight to dry Expancel or Q-cel mixed with Aeropoxy laminating resin) **Aeropoxy 458 is about 10 pounds per gallon **Aeropoxy Poly filler RT is about 12 pounds per gallon (probably very similar to Dolphin glaze or 3M finishing filler. All are polyester Bondo style finishing filler in weight and consistancy, less shrinkage compared to Bondo) Visit - www.EuropaOwners.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message europa-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Europa-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/europa-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/europa-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
