Those who had already installed the frame had rather a nightmare getting it out again, alot of hammering needed. In my case, I hadn't installed the frame, but sending it back to Yorkshire from Kenya would have been impossible, so I obtained from Europa the kit of supports/straps parts. These have to be welded by Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, which is for stainless steel and quite specialized.... I had mine welded by the only company in Kenya doing TIG welding, in the backstreets of Nairobi's industrial area; the company makes fitted-out kitchen surfaces for hotels and game lodges. It might be worth asking Europa if they still have that kit of support brackets and straps, and then finding a TIG welder. In any case it would seem that you will have to get the frame out... Good luck. It leaves a straight clean and well dimensioned bore into which the supplied tubes can be inserted with measured slight interference, giving maximum contact surface between both inserted tube and bore surface. The Dremel is too short and will never be able to achieve this. Dremel bits are no way close to top notch industrial quality reamers. I have done the MOD and as it goes for the process it was a joy to work with appropriate tools. I borrowed a reamer from a dear friend of mine and it was worth every bit of postage paid. Let's do it right from the start. One less thing to worry. It is possible to use gently and do not make a damage in the tube. The welding was done in the States and well done (Bob Berube?). However, I later opted for the TRI conversion and as there is no comparable landing gear stress on the supported tube as can be expected for the MONO, I called EUROPA. They concluded that it would be ok to cut it out, which I did. Saved perhaps 200 grams, but also made the opening a bit less claustrophobic for the bungees. So, for CLASSIC TRI this might work for you. For the MONO you must have it. I wired a variable resistance box to the sensor terminals as suggested and found that the oil pressure indication rose as the resistance was increased. Same happened with the fuel gauge ( Europa supplied mod) so I am reassured!
