Happy to see that so many people are using the site :-) The sql server has a problem, it does not kill stale threads. The problem has bee fixed temporarely. There is some bug, and until it has been fixed w'll have to reboot that server once a month. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, Jos Okhuijsen ps Still waiting for the (my) accident report, that has been promised to arrive by email, fax ans snailmail. Nothing seems to work :-( Visit - www.EuropaOwners.org

I am looking to go to Le Touquet this weekend - I know it is likely to be busy but I am trying to encourage Mrs Pitt to fly more often. Can anyone give places to visit/eat once there. Thanks Steve Pitt G-SMDH

Steve, There is a cracking place to eat in Etaples, principally a sea food restaurant but with non fish alternatives, the best I have found in numerous trips. It is called Aux Pecheurs d'Etaples. You can just about see it from the terminal building looking across the airfield and the river. It is about a 20 min walk over the bridge and left, if you don't get lost or of course a quicker taxi ride or bike ride (hireable at the airport). It is very popular with the locals and you really need to book to be sure of getting in. Details on their website www.auxpecheursdetaples.fr You can also purchase fish to die for at the shop below, and they will do it up with ice inserts, etc. Regards, David Joyce ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steven Pitt" <steven.pitt2@ntlworld.com> Sent: Friday, September 25, 2009 4:59 PM Subject: Europa-List: Le Touquet > <steven.pitt2@ntlworld.com> > > I am looking to go to Le Touquet this weekend - I know it is likely to be > busy but I am trying to encourage Mrs Pitt to fly more often. Posted here: http://www.europaowners.org/viewtopic.php?p=24760#24760 Copied from faxes and in German, sorry. If somebody interested and German speaking would be so kind to do a summary in English? For me the most intriguing statement, in my own translation: "Based on the position of the adjustment rings on the propeller blade A, it could be established, with help of the manufacturer respectively it's documentation, that the blade angle at the time of the crash was at minimum pitch, that is 19 degree. " Now my question to the forum is: Should the plane not be flyable with that pitch on the prop, taking in account that the speed had allready dropped to 50 knots? Kind Regards, Jos Okhuijsen Visit - www.EuropaOwners.org
