Gerry the following thread will catch you up!
JR
Lance
the tyre is 210x65 and has never been mounted
the bolt, incl spacers to hook on a manoevering bar, is 5 1/4" x 3/8" or so.
I am willing to donate the outfit to the gliding club if it wants to pay the
freight.
What is the name of the gliding club which might give me a flight one day if
I get up there again!
Best Wishes
JR

Hi Folks,
Our best bet for the weather this week seems to be Thursday, so how
about a DOTH to White Waltham?. It's got a good cafe, but the runways
can be a bit bumpy.
Voucher in Pilot - 1200ish.
All the Best, Paddy

I need a radio (small footprint) for my mono. I want a built in vox
intercom and a 2nd frequency monitor facility would also be good. I have
been considering the XCOM760 (which is unfortunately not authorised for
use in UK) the microair760, the Funkwerk ATR500 and the Becker4201 -
this latter being at the top of my price range.
User reports and/or recommendations for these and others will be
gratefully received.

Hi Mike,
The Becker 4201 is an excellent radio but it does not have 2nd frequency
monitor and the built in intercom requires manual operation.

Mike, I am not sure how small is 'small' or just how far the budget extends,
but the Garmin SL30 is a brilliant radio with built in intercom, second
channel monitoring (which is a great feature if you plan to fly with a
group) and also twin VOR or glide slope/localiser channel. The whole thing
is about the same size and weight as an Icom.

Have a look at the MGL VH10 radio, very compact with built in intercom. If you
go to the VAN's (sacrilege!!!) forum you can see the commendations the radio
is getting from US users for a South African radio and that is a feat in itself.
I have purchased one, not flying yet, based on fellow colleagues recommendations.
Not up to speed with UK certification but check with local UK distributor
(see MGL website for that info).

Paddy,
So a BIT bumpy - now that's being gratuitous. Whatever, I'm
hoping to be there, just coming in somebody else's plane !
Problem sorted.
