      Hi,

I'm wanting to do the Outrigger Pivot Bearing mod in accordance with the Europa
Club procedure. To do this I need some stainless steel tube with 0.375" outside
diameter, 0.3125" inside diameter (a sliding fit for an AN5 bolt).

I seem to have drawn a blank in finding any of this over in the UK. I only need
about 6" of it. Does anyone who has done this mod have any of this tube lying
around spare? If you do, can you drop me a line please?

      Regards,

      Phil

I voted for the SL-30 myself, and after 5 years am still convinced
it was the best choice. Modern digital design, standby channel as you ask for,
big memory area for your favorite freqs, auto Morse identifier translation,
      support by Garmin, etc.

After spending several days looking and contacting, finding that such
resins were only available in 55 gal drums, I have found HTR-250-FR, a
2 part fire retardant epoxy resin w/ a distortion temp. of 375 degrees
      F. which is sold in 1 gallon kits priced at about $90 and available
      thru: www.resinservices.com

In addition, it passes the FAR 25-853 flammability test.

      Cheers,

      Mike,

The Garmin SL30 is fairly small as radios go. I second David Joyce's
comments in 'spades'. The SL30 radio is brilliant in all respects.

I need a radio (small footprint) for my mono. I want a built in vox intercom
and a 2nd frequency monitor facility would also be good. I have been
considering the XCOM760 (which is unfortunately not authorised for use in
UK) the microair760, the Funkwerk ATR500 and the

      Karl,

Yes, I know about the overseas shipment problem. That is why I offered to purchase
the tubing and send it on to him.

I have a standing offer to all outside the U.S. to purchase and forward on any
goods they can not purchase and have sent directly.

      Best regards,
      Bob

Thanks Fred, I am adding that to my favorites list. That seems like quite
      the deal.
Just last night I enacted a repair on a thermister with 200 degree epoxy. I
would rather have like a higher temperature. Luckily though, I will not have
to pull over to the curb in the sky. It is for a non airplane project, so it
      can be redone.
