Hello again Raimo,
My comments were in no way meant to offend you so if I did I humbly
apologise. When you said about 'risks lurking', I thought you meant from
the operational point of view, like what different pilots might do!
Believe me, there is nothing I disagree with in your reply and now that you
mention it, I will check my autopilot servo yet again.
Please don't think I consider myself in the realm of any Honeywell, RAF
Engineer or NASA pilot. If you knew of only some of the silly things I have
done Raimo, you would soon realise how ridiculous it would be if I thought
that. I think it would be more appropriate if I put YOU on a pedestal
because YOU ARE FLYING which is more than I can say.
I always enjoy reading your posts on the forum and I do so with much
respect. Every post you make is also not in your native tongue and there
has been more than one occasion when I have considered you expressed
yourself better than I could have and English is the only language I have
ever known!
Keep up the good work Raimo.
With the very best of wishes from Oz.
Kingsley
PS Sorry Raimo, but I was also ignorant of the meaning of HOTAS . . . .
now I know . . . looked it up on Google!

Not so sure about putting it better Graham but about punches, when you are
of my stature, you make sure you give in before they start flying!
Hope you and Joan are keeping well.
Cheers

Steve,
Sorry - I forgot to address the other part of your question, how the
oil thermostat works:
The Perma-Cool thermostat will allow most of the oil to flow directly
to the engine and bypass the oil cooler when cold. Some flow is still
maintained through the oil cooler at all times to avoid super cooling of
the oil in the cooler. Once the oil warms up, the thermostat will allow
the oil to flow through the cooler and maintain a constant temperature
of approximately 200oF.
During climb-out, the oil heats up to above 212 degr F /100 degr C in
my case. Remember, the thermostat prevents too much cooling but it does
not add cooling!
Regards,
Svein

Hi All,
I desire to build a control lock for the rudder. Searching the archive I
found the good idea of the pvc pipe assembly that goes onto the pedals
and back to the stick or seat edge maybe, however I am looking at
trailering my Europa a lot, at first anyway. It would seem this design
would allow wind to whip the linkages and cables too much. Is there a
nice one that can be clamped around the rudder itself and not mar the
paint but hold it secure at highway speeds traveling backward? (It is a
monowheel) Pictures would speak volumes.
Thanks in advance again...
Troy Maynor.......almost done......
