Perhaps of interest to builders, and to anyone contemplating repair work - here's
a historical and practical document on aircraft (sailplane) composite construction
and repair methodology, originating with Ursula Hnle, the late and highly
regarded German ...
"Grand Dame of gliding", died on 1st April 2009, aged 83"
http://www.dg-flugzeugbau.de/flickfibel-e.html
The document is a free download pdf, although the page asks for a small donation
for any use.
I see that this document was a mandatory call-out on some repair procedure worksheets
for sailplanes.
Perhaps a reminder here of the real origins composite methods, as promulgated by
Burt Rutan and others; although of 90's era, there is reference to the first
edition of this document dated 1967, back when I was in shorts gazing skywards.
Enjoy.

Glenn - a splendid book, and I wish I'd seen it
before I tried to apply the factory repair scheme
to my XS wing.
It's a pity that they dont have PayPal or take
credit cards - I'm sure they would get a lot more
donations through PayPal. My bank (as I recently
found out) charges 20 per overseas transfer,
which makes it a bit unecomonic to transfer 5
euro as requested for this book download!
regards
Rowland

Rowland,
My findings as well. Difficult to justify a 5 Euro transfer that costs almost
$50 (USD) to perform.
Best regards,

I agree. A donation is only really feasable from another EU country=2C exce
pt Britain=2C that is.
Within the EU all bank transfers are free of charge.
