Troy, I second Jim Brown's advice. I have found that an 10 ft length of soft 1/2" rope with loops on the ends to go over the axle extensions, and with a knot joining the two limbs of the rope about a foot from their ends, works very well. Weighs very little and tosses in the back without risking damage to the structure ----- Original Message ----- From: "Troy Maynor" <wingnut54@charter.net> Sent: Sunday, January 03, 2010 9:44 PM Subject: Europa-List: Tail wheel tow bar Hi All, I want to get a tow bar for the tail wheel of my monowheel classic, but it has the XS tailwheel design. thanks to everyone I looked at the SB which stipulates a max of 15mm between the root and the cross tube bearing at full deflection at which point the minimum pin engagement is 10mm on a 1" length flap drive pin. By moving my tube to the right at full deflection so that the distance between bearing and root face is 11mm my hinge brackets are positioned with the 3/16 hole center not less than 1/2 from the edge of the hard point which I would guess is adequate. As to why this has occurred I am not really too sure. the root of one of the wings is slightly further away from the fuselage than the other. Given that the spar alignment bush holes are pre-drilled I assumed that this is normal... Hi Steve, I have just replied to Carlos off list. I know him as he flies from our local airfield Viseau in an RV6 and a Long eeze. I only mailed him to say hi as I've only just finished mine and have no intention of selling it! I did say I would be pleased to help look one out for him if he wished. Looking forward to flying my mono there in the spring, already done the flight plan! Richard Scanlan Mono 103 and flying at last. -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of SteveD Sent: 03 January 2010 23:17 Subject: Europa-List: Re: Looking to Buy Trigrear Please respond with the contact info below. Steved Hi there My name is Carlos and I'm searching an used Europa Trigear for our local Aero Club in Viseu, Portugal (LPVZ). http://www.acv.pt.vu We'd like to find a Trigear with a Rotax 912S. I understand it will be easy to operate and cheap to maintain. Maybe one of the best options to keep ourselves flying more often. Could you help me on this? It's called the Bogi-Bar. Raimo recommended it to me. Go to my gallery, Year #7, Q4, 2008 and you should see some pics and there is complete contact information and a 2 year old price. It is light & collapsable. You can decide if the price is reasonable. Mono is also pushable by BogiB. That is practical when maneuvering. She made about 1 inch loop on each end.. I extened the tail wheel axel so that I had a place to hang the loops on. Then all you need to do is pick up the strap and pull. The plane will follow where ever you go When done take the strap, fold it up, and put in the baggage compartment. I'll take couple pictures and send to you next time I,m at the hanger this week. --- On Sun, 1/3/10, Troy Maynor <wingnut54@charter.net> wrote: From: Troy Maynor <wingnut54@charter.net> Subject: Europa-List: Tail wheel tow bar To: europa-list@matronics.com Date: Sunday, January 3, 2010, 9:44 PM Hi All, I want to get a tow bar for the tail wheel of my monowheel classic, but it has the XS tailwheel design. "As to why this has occurred I am not really too sure. the root of one of the wings is slightly further away from the fuselage than the other. Subject: Airmaster prop controller problem
    From: "Terry Seaver (terrys)" <terrys@cisco.com>
Hi, For those of you who have the Airmaster prop: I went flying yesterday for the first time in 6 weeks. During the run-up, I normally check for ignition drop at 4000 rpm, then place the prop in 'manual', increase pitch until rpms drop to 3500, then place the switch back to 'auto' and make sure the rpms return to 4000. This time, when I went back to 'auto', nothing happened (rpms remained at 3500). Going back to 'manual', I was able to go back to fine pitch and 4000 rpm. Tried again, same thing. I turned the circuit breaker for the prop controller off and back on, then tried the test again and it worked this time, i.e. the prop went back to fine and 4000 rpm when I selected 'auto'. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Any ideas about what the problem was/is? Regards, Terry Seaver A135, XS monowheel with 912S, Airmaster prop.

Happy New Year Terry! I use the same drill as you for checking the prop. Did you happen to notice the LED behavior? They sometimes reflect error codes Take a look at your carbon electrodes, could be that they are thin, or also possible is that you have a loose connection to the Hall sensor which picks up the prop rpm. It won't control if it doesn't know where its at! ijr -------- Ira N224XS Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=280130#280130
