The kit I am completing has the old type cloth an rubber fuel pipes
everywhere. I understand its recommended these are changed even if never
used, what is the preferred type now and how the dickens do you get at the
clips in the middle behind/under the seats?

I've used the blue teflon-lined R9 hose throughout (aft of the
firewall)...if your existing clips are not snug to the hose diameter,
presumably one could thread new hose thru them w/ long tongs
      (hemostats)...nasty job...good luck...Fred

      Hi!
      Steve Pit and Dave Buzz.

Thanks for organizing the Fly In and although I only got to briefly meet one
continental I am delighted to see some able to sample our hospitality since
they have so often made us welcome at their Rallies all over Europe.
I was also pleased to have been able to get G-PTAG out of it's "stable" and
      use it again.
We are hoping that a great many of you will support us at the Wickenby Wings
and Wheels Air Show next weekend 19th and 20th.(EGNW) There will be a number
of "classic old birds" strutting their stuff and static displays too.

Just out of interest the TruTrak wing leveler enabled me to fly "hands
totally free" from 2,000ft leaving Wickenby through to Popham and back.
Even the pitch was managed by trim and power all the way.
Pity I didn't have it before on many of my continental tours. It would have
      saved many a close shave.

      Regards to all.

one thing with the memory foam, it is quite heavy, kingsley in australia
showed me his latex memory foam seat base cushions and they must have
      weighed
about 15kg, unless you are refering to different foam

I just weighed my cushions...seat back cushion = 0.9 pounds; seat
      cushion = 3.75 pounds (each (obviously uncovered)...total: 9.2 pounds.

Seat backs are 1" regular foam wrapped around 2 sticks of left over
memory foam for lumbar support + regular foam wedges. Seat cushion is
1" hi dens memory foam (green) + 1" less dens memory foam (blue) + reg
foam wedges. For better thigh support, seat cushion extends about 4"
fwd of vertical CM diaphragm . The green foam is so-called "crash
foam"...a real plus IMO. Note, in photo, back cushions are temporarily
propped up w/ some pink rigid foam blocks; covering will include
velcro straps down the rear face of the raised portion of the CM.

Though I've yet to spend hours on end just sitting and making airplane
      noises...they do seem comfy.

      Hi Graeme

You may find some useful info about Factory interior here:
      http://www.europaowners.org/forums/gallery2.php?g2_itemId=28441

After adding lumbar support and making adjustments, fit is OK and seems comfortable
      (not yet flying).

well i finally got my flaps assembled following the procedure in the
      book....

I find that there is about 4 degrees of difference in the deflection of
      the flaps.

I am assuming that this is not normal and will cause weird flying
characteristics but before I take everything to bits (for the umpteenth
time) i wanted to consult the collective wisdom about this.

      Will

      Craig,

It is obviously too long since you visited me. All my cushions as
supplied by Oregon Aero weigh a total of 5 kg (11 lbs) The extra 10kg
you speak of is probably about right for the amount that "I" am too
      heavy!!

      Cheers
      Kingsley

one thing with the memory foam, it is quite heavy, kingsley in
      australia
showed me his latex memory foam seat base cushions and they must have
      weighed
about 15kg, unless you are refering to different foam
