Would it be painless to fall head first into a vat of molten metal? For the purpose
of this question please allow the vat of molten metal to be 20 feet deep
and that the vat contains molten steel. I would very much be obliged for seriously
considered answers to this question as I am genuinely curious to know and
wonder if it might be possible to conduct experiments to find out for sure if
a theoretical answer is not sufficient. Thank you.

Subject: | Europa trailer height? |
I measured my monowheel on the trailer (no fin-top items) attached
to my car and found close to 6'9'. With the trailer disengaged, I would
guess it to be too tight to fit under 6'3", especially over the bumps unless
you tied the tail down under compression and lowered the trailer tongue.
Under-inflating the main won't do it either, but perhaps removing the
tailwheel would give a few more inches.....
Sorry,
Ferg

Luc,
I agree with Karl, why complicate it. I personally tow my plane to and
from the airfield every flight. Additionally, I have towed the plane on
a couple of very long trips over 500 miles each without issue. Except
for the local trips, I remove the tailplanes and store them in the tow v
ehicle. They move around too much on the trailer. I also add an extra s
trap over and around the monowheel/wheel ramp/support structure keeps th
at end from moving around. I also know of another builder that towed hi
s Europa from Arizona to Nebraska and back a few times without issue on
the standard Europa trailer. That is almost 1,000 miles each way.
The added benefit of towing the Europa on its trailer is that you are ab
le to keep an eye on it from the tow vehicle. Either way you go (trail
er in a trailer or just trailer) make sure the wing supports fit snug.
I think the sling is much better than the foam supports Europa had for a
while. I replaced mine with a 4" wide strap covered with carpet. Seems
to work well.
Good luck.

Hi Folks,
Wickenby ( Bob Harrisons Base ), have got their summer fly-in this weekend and
up 'til Wednesday, so I thought it would be good for us to join them on Monday.
No voucher I'm afraid. 1200ish as usual.
All the Best, Paddy
