Gidday,
I'd like to make Bob Nuckolls External Power Receptacle and I need to
get hold of the brass screws recommended. If one of you guys
states-side, next time you go to Home Depot or Lowes happens to remember
and would be happy to buy 2 sets, and put them in the post, I'd kindly
appreciate the help, and beam over some money or get it to you one way
or the other? Here is what Bob says to describe them.

P.S. Where I come from there is no such thing as a brass fitting, only
plastic.
You'll need two sets of toilet-seat screws from a
hardware store or plumbing shop (be sure to get "aircraft
quality" toilet-seat screws - shouldn't cost more than $100
a set!!!). These will be about 3" long, made of brass and
come with nuts and washers. They'll be .312" coarse thread.
You need the ones with very low profile heads. You'll also
need two (.032 thick minimum) heavy brass washers [8]
with .312" holes in them and an o.d. of .500 to .625".

tony go to bunnings, or a local bolt shop, you wont have any trouble
getting brass screws, most chandlery (boat parts) shops also have them

Subject: | Coolant temperature sensor |
Just one further point. Paul Mitchell has just reminded me that in the UK,
the LAA have decided we must have both gauges fitted if we run 50:50.
Fortunately, I have run Evans since day one and have experienced no
problems.

EER! Yes!
Actually, having recently carried out this exercise, the difference between
the two temps is so small that it is not worth fitting a coolant temp sensor
(IMHO).

Subject: | Monowheel landing gear dampers |
Hi all,
I have been following the thread on the monowheel landing gear strut
(Mod 51) with great interest and I am planning to perform a full check
and refurbishment of the landing gear this winter. I need to replace
the rubber block as the airplane is now sitting significantly lower
than before. A the same time I would love to save some weight with
getting rid of the hydraulic dampers. I noticed that among aircraft
using rubber blocks such as Lancairs, Jodels, Mooneys, none is using
hydraulic dampers, so I am questioning the usefulness of the dampers
on the Europa.
Has anyone experienced flying the Monowheel without the dampers ?

These MG wings are heavy. The max GW is 1370lbs not 1450lbs. No long range tank etc... For more check this link: http://www.europa-aircraft.co.uk/motorglider/specification.php
