What is the gap supposed to be again for the 912s. I assume it's the same f
or all engine models.
I have someone else's handwritten note of ' 020 for cold start'=2C and my
own note of 028-032 in my maintenance handbook.

Anyone dealing w/ exhaust issues may be interested in these innovative
tack-welding clamps I found at www.icengineworks.com ...here is a
short video demonstrating their use:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVzX8KMe-lg
Available in a wide range of sizes, I purchased mine (1.75" diameter)
thru:
http://www.summitracing.com/search/brand/ICEngineworks/?autoview=ProductName
They work as advertised, and my welder sez they dramatically
simplified his job, and saved me a lot of $.
Also, after considerable seaching, the best prices I could find for .
035" wall, 321 SS mandrel bends, were at Sky Dynamics (locate w/ Mr.
Google), where I received prompt and excellent service. I was also
able to find an exquisite double slip merge collector from Burns
Stainless, again in .035" wall, 321 SS.

Tim=2C
That confirms the note I must have printed off one of the emails in the pas
t. The page it is on seems to be from the training manual that Rotax hand
out on their engine course.
And since starting from cold has always been a little bit of a problem for
me=2C I'll try setting the .5 gap.
Cheers=2C

Subject: | Exhaust port bolts for 914 |
Hi all,
Could anyone suggest a source for the M8x1x6 bolt that is used to plug up
the EHT port on the Rotax 914. I couldn't find them on McMaster-Carrs and
my Google searches are coming up blank
