The fuel layout you posted does not have a second feed. Here is a clearer layout of Europas schematic, I substituted two Andiar 375 gasculators instead of supplied filters. The momentary three filters were just that, momentary so I didn't put any debris into 5 gallons of borrower 100LL. http://www.europaowners.org/forums/gallery2.php?g2_itemId869 Ron Parigoris Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=311784#311784 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:48:09 AM PST US From: Jeff B Subject: Re: Europa-List: Re: RR Report to the forum While I will not be giving the report, I will document the meetings on video, which can be uploaded to the website... They had this at the Rotax maintenance class I attended in Canada. Nice and clean. These manifolds and this setup were designed for use in certified 914s. I was going to buy the manifolds until I found out they had =9Cprecious certified=9D costs as well. I went to McMasters and Aircraft Spruce and found =9Coff the shelf=9D manifolds that worked for much less. Thanks to Dan Bish A144 for digging these out. My plane is based at Great Oakley, so l am very close to the E coast. Logical routing is straight across to north of AMS TMA. I would be happier doing this for the first time in a loose gaggle of aircraft. However, l am happy to meet up at Lydd or elsewhere. The routing info was useful, l guess that constitutes the AFPex FP input? The plane is currently at Henstridge, having had its panel mildly modified with a TT21, SL30, ELT and a D10A added. Assumption is that it will all work correctly following the collection and ferry back to Gt Oakley. I guess the best plan is to ensure my plane is good to go and then reconnect via the forum early next week. The weather will be cleared by then and the routing option may be reduced due to Wx. Wed like to spend most of the day at the flight line, and keep it casual & fun, visiting with one another & admiring the planes. Probably most of the topics will be discussed informally. At the end of the group intro, if desired, a few specific topics & times could be set, and leave the rest to chance. The pilots lounge is probably big enough if we need a more formal setting (i.e. for MG SB). We dont think a meeting room at the lodge is necessary. Looking forward to seeing everyone! So here's the deal. Friday night dinner for all that can make it at 6:pm. We can stay in the meeting room for free and introduce everyone. Saturday morning breakfast at say 8:30 AM. Once again for those that just came in we can give them their name tags and have them introduced. We can then move onto the tech stuff and take as much time as needed. Once again anyone can leave anytime. That should get everyone to the flight line sometime between 10:30A and noon. We can take our time weather providing and fly, talk or if necessary move into the pilots lounge area or even on the porch. It will be like a free style cruse. ;o) We can all meet at 5 to 5:30 for supper and have the room again to cover any ground anyone feels we missed out on. Once again... your choice. If the evening weather turned out to be exceptional... chances are I would want to head back to the birds on the field. The most the room could cost for all 3 times if chosen to use it would be $50. Now thats a deal! It's time to put this to bed so once again give me a yea or nay and we'll get er done. Jeff R. Working very strong for an unbeatable price (750$ X2) if you have a Dynon EFIS. No autotrim, but indication if you need to trim up or down. Really nice! Just a button on the stick to enable (and disable) both servos to maintain heading and altitude. If you have an AP74 (specific autopilot user interface), you have dedicated controls to set the altitude/heading bugs and needed horizontal mode (heading or track or course following the GPS flight plan). Even without it, using the menu is pretty OK. The installation is similar to the one with Trutrak servos without the hassle of their D connector that is preventing installation in a monowheel. OK Jeff, I'll keep the topics to 5 minutes and entertain questions, as I can't stand to listen to myself much longer, as you guys have the questions that I have been plugging away on... I have received a couple of the new Airmaster brochures which should help also. Hopefully some test data. If the weather doesn't pan out, Jim and I are planning to leave Thursday, I'll drive straight through on Friday and be there Sat AM. We really need to give Bob Borger 5 minutes on his fuel injection pump. Really a class act for the 914 group. Regards, Bud ----- Original Message ----- From: JEFF ROBERTS To: europa-list@matronics.com Sent: Tuesday, September 07, 2010 1:03 PM Subject: Europa-List: RR Up-date #14 & Dog and Pony shows. Gentleman, I will hopefully confirm today or tomorrow that we have the meeting room for Saturday AM and any other time we'll need it. There is also a small room at the airport for a gathering should we also need it. I'm going to start a list of topics here on this page. I have ask Bud Yearly to cover the ones you see as he has had a lot of request for this info. He wants us all to join in as a discussion. If you would like to add to this list, place your name first then the topic you want to cover. Once we have an agenda we can make a plan to cover it at the meeting room or at the runway. For all of us and our wives, I would ask that we keep these reasonably short and to the point. The topics should be ones that most would be interested in. Remember... this fly-in is to learn but mostly to have FUN and a lot of it. Too much classroom will send my wife scurrying to a store to spend money. I know your going to say there aren't any stores out there.... well you don't know my wife! Perhaps these would be better served in the meeting room. Anyone that has solved a problem can chime in at anytime. This should be informal discussion at it's best. 1. Bud: Most important is the SB on the MG wing. 2. Bud: Next would be the Refueling safety 3. Bud: Finally is the long awaited New Airmaster Props. 5. Bud: Solving short field and stall characteristics by use of VGs.... Very interesting! 6. Bud: New Rotax Ideas in the Fuel Injection arena... Jeff likes this topic! I hear Rotac... the radial guys have a bolt on injector that works well on the 9 series engine. 7. 8. 9. 10. Perhaps these would be better served on the flight line. 1. Bud-Jeff & All: Cooling issues. 2. Kim Prout: Speed Mods etc. Kim let me know if there is more you would like to cover or if I have this wrong. 3. 4. 5. Please add your name and topic onto this list. This will give us a better chance of planning the times. Thanks to all that want to contribute. Wow what a great event this will be!! I am praying to the weather gods every day! Regards, Jeff R.
