Hi Group After checking weather for the weekend and seeing it was to be great, and business was light, I decided to jump in car at the last minute with a few buddies and head on out. We are glad we did. Rough River 2010 was a great time, with great people, great aeroplanes and great weather. I posted some pics: http://www.europaowners.org/forums/gallery2.php?g2_itemId=82712 Ron Parigoris Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=313180#313180

Hi Cleve, Rotaxes may have their various irritants, but they do make the build easier and lighter, and for the most part are reliable. Are you back in the States again, where located ? Hi guys, Thanks for the responses, I will check the battery, but in the meantime have ordered a regulator/rectifier as I will clearly need one sooner or later. Dave do not archive

As I'm in the process of pulling my engine I have noticed some chaffing of the larger coolant hoses behind the engine. Also the area on the hose directly behind the muffler appears to have surface fractures due to the muf heat. Yes it was wrapped with heat shield. My question is what have others done when replacing these larger hoses. I have seen the better silicon hoses from the auto supply houses but I'm not sure of the 90 degree bends working with this type. Would they kink etc. I would be curious to what others have done to replace these? Thanks in advance!! Jeff R. N128LJ Gold Rush

Jeff, There was a thread on the Rotax list recently, suggesting, www.sporthoses.com or www.pegasusautoracing.com sounds as if they have all sorts of shapes and sizes. Jeff Silcon hoses I got mine from a swedish europa owner. All shaped and the correct lengths. I only had to buy the small bore hoses for the carb heaters which are easy to buy. I am very happy with the hoses. Hi All, Erich, Kim, and Kevin had great weather heading west. No 180 knot ground speeds like going east, but fine flying weather. One big thunderstom in Arizona that we diverted around. We three flew together all the way till mid flight today when we split toward our homes. Bob continued from RR to Florida for more fun. I had a great time. It was good to meet all those fine folks in person. We left coasters are already talking about getting together again. Thanks All... Kevin N211KA Bishop, CA

I don't remember the seller's details=2C but expect to pay about $200 in to tal. You can buy several sets of perfectly good hoses for that money from E uropa. Guys, That's quite an adventure going that far. Where did you stop for the night if you don't mind me asking? As a result of this trip, other trips, like to the beach or Florida to visit relatives just got a lot closer. Can't wait til next year. We need to add another day to the RR visit.
