with little stainless strips, around the holes cut for the engine mount. This
provides a good seal around the tubes. There was a good deal of trimming with
a dremel to get a good fit. I was going to use fire caulk around the seams but
ended up putting insulation over the whole thing anyway so I ommited the sealant.
Hope this helps.

I am now confused about the firewall, can I ask, is this for the tri-gear only,
is it in addition to the Stainless firewall or instead of? Is it quicker or better?
Some people seem to have used adhesive backed foil sheet over the whole area including
surround.
And the FWFD kit includes a quantity of firewall fabric, what is that used for.
I have ordered the engine and fwfd kit and just getting ready for them, I have
the shiny firewall plates done.

I can't say if it works on the trigear or not. I don't see why not. I think it
was designed for both but not sure. It is an alternative to making the stainless
one. At first I thought it unuseable but I got to sanding and filing and am
very pleased with the results. It is easily removeable after you remove the engine
mount.

The Graham Singleton Firewall fits the XS Trigear. It did for mine anyway.

Graeme=0Ait was designed for both mono and tri gear. Advantage was that all
of the holes =0Acould be sealed which is almost impossible with the stainl
ess one. It also =0Aoffers a less draggy space for fast moving colling air
