Surprisingly they do not mention the type of mogas supplied. There is a safety issue here! I do not know about the other airfields but Sywell supplies 82UL which is ok for the 912 but not for the 912S and 914. Remi Guerner <<<<<<The ukga.com site now lists 4 UK airfields that have Mogas for sale. Sherburn and Sywell I knew about but Enstone and Wolverhampton were news to me.>>>>>>>

Hi, Does anyone know how many liters per minute of oil flows through the oil cooler in a Rotax 912 or 914? I could not find it anywhere in the Rotax documentation. A precise number is not necessary, any guess would be welcome. Frans

By a process of substitution, it would appear that one of the 2 ignition modules on our 912 powered Europa has developed an intermitant fault. The price for these in the UK is a shade under 700!! Does anyone know a way of getting hold of one at a more attractive price than that? (looking for the version with the 4 way plug). Thanks Peter (G-MFHI)

Peter, This is a well known problem with the older 4 way plug versions. Before you shell out for a new ignition unit, take a good look at the flying leads from the "black box" to the connector. The prolonged vibration tends to work harden the copper leads and they eventually fracture within their plastic sheathing (hidden from view), making intermittent contact. I won't pretend that its easy to spot, but it's a lot cheaper than a new unit!
