Hi Graeme If you follow the workshop manual then the entry points for the Pitot/Stati c tube Are self explanatory, A gentle curve to the front of the spar with entry between the spar and forward pins, It will be well away from any hard points, Regards Ivor *Pitot/static tube* Drill two 1/4=94 diameter holes through the port fuselage side midway betwe en the forward wing socket and the spar opening, making sure to keep them away from the seat belt mounting. These holes are for the pitot/static tubes. When rigging the aircraft the tubes will be led over the top of the spar tang *Page 27 - 22 Issue 2 Europa Build Manual* On 27 October 2010 21:35, graeme bird <graeme@gdbmk.co.uk> wrote: > > I didnt get any response on this, was it a stupid question? I've only used it with zolatone. I bought HVLP with a fresh air mask to paint the plane. I'm gonna sell it. I used a standard 1.8mm nozzle, worked OK, but Zolatone does not hide imperfections that well. The decorator stone spray paint does a better job of covering seams etc. Dave do not archive On 27-Oct-10, at 6:51 PM, Fred Klein wrote: > > Hi...I note that zolatone recommends a 2.0 to 2.4mm nozzle in a > pressure-feed type gun for spraying their multicolor material. > > I'm finding that, short of spending way more for a gun than I'd > like to, the guns in my price range have 1.4mm to 1.8mm nozzles. > > Has anyone tried to enlarge the nozzle size of a spray gun > successfully?...unsuccessfully?...in order to apply the zolatone > multicolor material? > > My application is for cockpit interior which will not be covered w/ > fabric...I'm attracted to the multi-color-stuff as it seems to > offer a good way to mask the CM seams and other > irregularities...I've looked for but have not found any comparable > spray can product at Home Depot or hardware stores. > > Recommendations from experience are most welcome. > > Thanks, > > Fred > >

Hi All, You still have to use some filler (Superfil) on the seams. I followed with a gray spray can primer from Home Depot. After a couple days applied the Zolatone I bought at ACS with a Wagner Airless sprayer, with the tip you would use to apply heavy latex house paint. After a long cure, I put some clear lacquer over that to help seal it. Your results may vary. Troy Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=317346#317346
