Just started my 912ULS for the first time after following the procedure for
priming the oil system. I am getting oil pressure after start when it ris
es to 30 - 35 psi but then it falls to about 12psi and stays there. Anyone
got any suggestions to get the oil pressure normal???

Just finished mod 72 and I had to prim mine two or three times using
the compressed air method. It's fine now.

I'm thinking maybe either the sender is indicating low or the instrument
      is reading low.

On initial start I get upwards of 65-70 psi before it settles to around
45 psi once it gets warm.

      Just my 2c worth.

      Hi David,
Have you checked the pressure drop at the intake side of the oil pump
(ie from the oil cooler)? Should be a maximum pressure drop of 4.4 psi
from ambient pressure at full power. This checks for any restrictions to
flow in the oil lines and cooler. See Europa engine installation manual,
      engine commissioning.

      Regards,

      Keith Hickling,
      New Zealand.
