I am confused I have a A510-2 keyed mag switch type from Aircraft spruce which I am trying to wire into my panel. However, for the Rotax I expected it to ground the mags when in the off and for them to be open when on. The switch seems to be the opposite. Am I mistaken? Or is this switch for Cessna mag types which operate differently? -------- Graeme Bird Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=319145#319145

Graeme, I have the same switch (A510-2) wired as shown in the attached diagram. The mags are earthed in the off position, not earthed in both and start positions. Works fine. Is your switch different from this?
