Hi Graham, Had a thought, where did you get the spinner from ? The original XS spinner was as I described with about a 1'' flange aft of t he prop hub face, for some reason Europa have supplied non original spinner assemblies plucked it seems, at random, from an outside supplier [ I think Dave Park had one of those which he sent back] sets the entire spinner too far forward. With 3 weeks to go to the Show it would be good to find out who is attending, both with and without their Europas. The 'gang' (Steve Pitt, Nigel Graham and Terry Greaves (from the UK) and Jeff and Mary Behrnes (from Louisiana)) will be supporting Bud on the stand (N95 and N100) and the usual invite is made to all that meeting and greeting will take place at the stand every day at 11.00hrs. Troy and John have already indicated that they will be flying in, and Jeff and Mary will also have Baby Blue on show. How many more can we expect? Look forward to seeing you all again and hope to enjoy several 'engineering meetings' with you. Regards Steve Pitt G-SMDH trigear 912S

I am finally getting close to the end.=C2- Today I took out the rubber do or seal and started to look at putting it on.=C2- There is a diagram in t he manual that shows how it fits, and it makes sense.=C2- The rubber has a small channel that should fit the=C2-edge of the rebate.=C2- Where th ere is only a single ply, this works fine.=C2- Where the door frame is tw o plies thick, the rubber=C2- is not flexible enough to get on.=C2- In this case, it would seem that=C2-the edge should be cut down to a thickne ss that the rubber will go over.=C2- A Perma-Grit or die grinder would do it.=C2- Do I understand this=C2-correctly?=C2- Also, they do not men tion how to fasten the rubber in; it would seem to me that a little=C2-FL OX would be appropriate.=C2- Is this correct? Troy, and others flying in. Most bring their own microfiber rags. They work great. I will bring a bucket or two to the Europa Tent and some micro fiber cloths and a chamois for the display planes and of course you can use mine. The dew in the morning is heavy enough that most of the time the dew is enough to clean the plane. Don't leave your canopy open and if you have a cover for the canopy it helps. I also will bring some Car Bright (or as my painter calls it Blue Soap) which is a great cleaner and shine agent plus degreaser that is safe for all finishes except water based. One of the things I wondered about is what do folks take along to get the black Florida dust off the plane so it can look its best. One needs to avoid scratching the windscreen and the paint. Is it just a matter of getting water to it in a jug or is there a preferred commercial cleaner that can be sprayed? ACS has so many options it is mind boggling. Any wisdom from those who've done it? I know this won't be my only question about the trip. It is not uncommon to have 1/4 inch. My Classic with the XS FWF had the same problem and I added three layers of glass on the inside and flox to fill level and one layer on the outside peel plied and let cure. Fill and sand. I use poster board with release tape on it to make a form on the outside, after laying the glass and use small clamps to hold the paper exactly where I want it. Sand and block to make the line straight. Remember, the two lines looked at most are around the canopy and the cowl. The top is resting on the shaft of the 912S prop plate butted up to the back of the prop bolts and I only have 1/8th of the cowl on the port side to cut off. Is a 3/8th gap going to matter?
