Gidday, I am pondering this compulsory task, and would like to know if anyone has used this method over the one through the wing skin? If so, would you do it that way again, and have any specific advice? In blind ignorance, it seems better to me. Thanks. Reg Tony Renshaw Sydney Australia

Tony...what do you mean by "this method"?...a ref. to the build manual instructions might be helpful. Fred

Hi Tony, Go through the closeout, best way by far. Decide at the same time to do the 1370lb Mod [ if you haven't done that alr eady] as the pin is different, and if you retrofit the 1370 you will have t o dig out thepin and nut and redo it ! Tip.... cut out the nyloc ring from the nut, so you can wind it on with a screwdriver pushing on the flats, and only need to crank it the last 1/4 turn with a spanner [ wrench], then ''p ot'' it with flox and a couple of plies of Bid before you replace the foam ..... saves an awful lot of f*&*$$+**&* Cheers, Nev. -----Original Message----- From: Tony Renshaw <tonyrenshaw268@gmail.com> Sent: Fri, 22 Apr 2011 19:11 Subject: Europa-List: Wing pin mod through flap closeout Gidday, am pondering this compulsory task, and would like to know if anyone has u sed his method over the one through the wing skin? > I am pondering this compulsory task, Tony, The ONLY reason I didn't use the flap closeout method was because I had minimal clearance between the closeout and the retracted flap and I wasn't sure it could accommodate the extra thickness. Cheers Kingsley
