I have just struggled to get the oil pressure readings on my new 912 install with
the skydrive VDO gauge and new style sender (mainly because I thought it was
oil purge/thermostat issues). The information supplied with the gauge was sparse
and misleading. In case anyone else is a the point of wiring, New sender
is current based 4-20mA and requires +12v (red) and signal to gauge(white) the
gauge needs ground and signal, not power and signal.

Hi David
I cannot help with the instructions but i vaguely remember that the Benwick
transducer
wasn't allowed by the PFA/LAA because it didn't have a clear bi-pass for
fuel if the impeller
seized causing fuel starvation,
it would need checking with the PFA/LAA first if i was you,

Conrad at Conair Sports and he sent me this the attached diagram. I have w
ired mine like the first diagram,-and all works fine now. Just note that
you also have the new pressure gauge too. as it dose not work with the old

brilliant free program in conjunction with NATS for getting Notams on any
readily input route. Takes only moments and displayed graphically. Highly
recommended

Bob,
I did troll through Mcmaster's site yesterday but the missing piece of data
I need is the strength of the spring. I don't want something too strong or
it will distort the doors. I guess I could pull mine off and measure what
they are and get the something a little stronger, but I was hoping someone
had "gone before me" so to speak.

They have some that are close but not quite the same, and I don't want
to relocate mounting brackets. I have been told that Europa supplied ga
s springs can be recharged. I did notice that there is a schrader valve
, so maybe they can be recharged with nitrogen. I need to take a closer

Guys,
Kim Prout and I discussed the same and we have a US manufacturer that
will refill the struts. We need 45 lbs normally as we are now using a
thicker window which is heavier than the original glass.
I will be talking to Kim when he gets back next week and will arrange
for the first set to get Nitrogen refills. We'll test and report back
to the group.
I too have looked for replacement struts, and off the shelf does not
work quite right. I'm lazy, I don't want to have to move my fittings.

Guys,
At Flight Crafters, we use Easy Lift of North America for gas springs
www.bansbach.com part #B333F46-100-300/160N which is an exact duplicate of
the Europa Supplied strut. I recently ordered with 2 more pounds pressure
300/165N. Price is around 95.00 each plus shipping. If you need 45 pounds,
they can make them up as the normal Europa strut is 30 pounds. Also you can
order with or without the valve. Generally they won't recharge if they are
over a year old with the recharge cost at 20.00.

At Flight Crafters, I order the gas springs from Easylift www.bansbach.com
they have an exact duplicate of the Europa Spring #B333F46-100-300/160N at
30lbs. I recently ordered some with 2 more lbs. #300/165N. They can make
them any pressure you want with or without recharge valves. Recharge cost
is 20.00. The cost is just under 100.00 each or less depending on how many
you order.
