Hi John,
It is compulsory in Germany to have a fuel pressure warning of some sort. I have
one from a Katana which is just a switch and light.
You would have noticed any restriction in the fuel system on your takeoff run where
you require the highest flow. It certainly gets your attention when it comes
on!!

Hi John and Barry,
I agree with Barry. Having a fuel pressure warning light and/or gauge is very useful,
as it provides an early warning in case of a fuel system partial obstruction.
Another issue is the too small filtering area of the original in line filters.
Using a bigger filter or gascolator is a must. Using a filtering funnel
when using Mogas also helps but it does not eliminate the risk of contamination.
