    From: "JonSmith" <jonsmitheuropa@tiscali.co.uk>
On my new Rotax 912S installation I have the standard electric backup pump as supplied by the factory (Facet 40106). Right from the start it leaked slightly, seems to be from the actual case. As it was outside the warranty period I ordered a new one which I have fitted today. This one is also leaking slightly - again appears to be from the actual casing. I've not even flown with this new one yet! Just tested it on the ground. I'm 100% confident about the hose connections - remade them several times with good clips. Am I being just unlucky here to have two duff ones or am I c*cking something up? All I've done with them is remove the rubber blanking plugs from the holes, fitted the hose fitting nozzles (correct size) and attached the hoses. Suggest the hose fitting nozzles are screwed into the pump body using a fuel proof sealant. Red Hermetite (available from Halfords) would do the job. -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of JonSmith Sent: 30 June 2011 12:45 Subject: Europa-List: Electric fuel pump --> <jonsmitheuropa@tiscali.co.uk> On my new Rotax 912S installation I have the standard electric backup pump as supplied by the factory (Facet 40106). Hi Folks, At Williams funeral, members of the Europa community gave an undertaking to Diana, Williams wife, to scatter his ashes over Wales. When I have been in contact with her over the last year or so, she has asked me how these arrangements were progressing. I asked around a number of Europa fliers and it seemed the answer was that no one was following it up. It appeared to me that this was an undertaking we should do our very best to honour. I am pleased to say that Dianas wishes were completed today. Those of you who would like full details, please contact me off list, though I would mention it involved some expense. Any of Williams friends who feel they would like to contribute please contact me, again off list. I will be producing a record for Williams family, and would like to include the names of any one who has helped. All the Best, Paddy Paddy Clarke Europa G-KIMM

Thanks Carl and Steve! I shall try this straight away. I'm ""pleased"" to hear it has been a common problem and that I'm not on my own - I'd run out of ideas! Cheers, Jon -------- G-TERN Classic Mono Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=344554#344554
