Small washing up liquid bottles are good and easy to dispense when weighing
out the quantities. The resin isn't affected by exposure to air but the
hardener deteriorates over time (months)

It is supposed to come with a plastic lid which you use after removing the
metal one.
Find a substitute like the plastic lid on a coffee tin. I just tried it and
that fits.

I drill a hole in the lids and put in a 60ml syringe in the hole. Use the syringe
to dispense inverted and put it back in the hole.

I am attempting to connect the D100 EFIS DATA output to the Garmin
327 Transponder data receiver line. Trouble is, the D100 out line is in a
two-wire coaxial shield and the Transponder connection is a single wire
solo.
If you have successfully connected the two, could you please tell me
how you did it? If Dynon think it should be shielded, and Garmin think it
needn't - what's the answer? Both these leads are AWG24 at the most and so
require fairly solid lagging to prevent vibration effects.
Any assistance would be most appreciated. I seem to be thwarted at
every turn.

That's an interesting procedure, and brings up the question if these
epoxies are better stored under vacuum to prevent long term oxidation.
There is a kitchen product called pump-n-seal which is used for vacuum
sealing food jars. I wonder if that would be of use here.

Update:
Today I made a 1:45H flight for doing the in-flight adjustments for the EZ Pilot
II.
Conclusion is fairly straightforward: once I found the sweet spot for servo neutral
(which took me about 5 minutes), I did not have to make any adjustments to
CRS and TRK tracking or PULL-IN settings.
Maximum deviation observed in CRS mode was 1 degree. In TRK-mode it was 0.02NM
maximum .
I also tested manual clutch override and simulated CRS deviations with subsequent
INT. No surprises there, all worked as advertised...
One feature remains to be tested: emergency 175 degree turn. Given todays observations
I trust that to be worknig by the book as well...

I am still using Araldite 420 that is 10 years old and still as good as new
. It has been open all this time=2C but with a lid on of course. The Araldi
te itself crystallized once or twice=2C but yu simply stand the can in very
hot water for a while and give it a good stir. The hardener never changed
its state.This question seems to come up regularly every few months.

My Aeroepoxy is over 10 years old. The opened can of hardener does
change color, to wine red, and eventually to a blackish red. It is a
bit disturbing to see this color on laminations, but the strength
appears to be good as new. The sealed cans (which also sat for 10
years) also show a slight red coloration, but not nearly as much. I
think a vacuum sealing method for storing these epoxies would be a
useful addition.
I saved opening the araldite 420 until bonding the cockpit module, and
for all other jobs I've been using the 50ml version of epibond 420.

I don't have any scientific data for that, or for those higher temps, but
have gone years with the hardener only stored in a plastic polyethylene
squeeze bottle of the type that can be tightly capped when finished with the
job, to keep the air out. The exit spout for the hardener allows one to
finely control measurements during the weighing process, since it is a small
diameter. Think of the spout as being of the type that comes on a caulking
tube, with a cap on it. My Storage temperature is thermostatically regulated
to about 65-70 degrees (heater is just a light bulb, like others have done,
which works fine in the small area), except for a few months in the summer,
where it might see a little more. The resin (the stuff that looks like
Lemon Meringue pie filling) is the only component I have seen degrade
(visually)...it can start to look a little gritty, but I think it can be
re-constituted by placing the can into a pot of water, and heating slowly..
With regards to the unopened stuff:
In the past, I have seen the shelf-life expiration date come close to 2
years out.
Lately, the expiration is only 6 months out, even on fresh batches, that
have just started their shelf life. That's too bad, since now the stuff is
twice as much :(
Not sure, but am thinking the manufacturer is covering their tail for the
product having been stored in the most extreme conditions, i.e.. Very High
or cold temps, etc ...but my guess is that it will probaly store much
longer..
