I am not an expert in aircraft insurance but there was a warning about
cheap insurance in the LAA magazine, I think, a short while ago. Please
make sure the quote includes the words "combined single limit" for the
third party and passenger cover. Without these words, you are getting
less cover and, therefore, it is cheaper. Maybe one of our numbers who
is an expert on aircraft insurance can explain better than I can.

Brian Davies

"Left overs" can be anything. A particular danger with coax is moisture
creeping in at the ends. This causes huge losses. But if it hasn't been
used outside it is probably ok.

Standard recommendation is always for high quality cable. The truth is
that the lenght needed for your airplane is so small that the losses are
not meaning anything. Use the cable with the lowest weight. I used RG58
A/U for my europa and it works perfect.

Brian, You are alert as ever, but I am pleased to say that the Traffords
insurance is of the more comprehensive kind with the combined single
limit of 1.75 million. I have been with them off and on for many years,
with occasional moves to either Hall & Clarke or Haywards if they
offered better, but this year Traffords were around =C2=A3300 cheaper
for the same cover.

you are just amazing!
This is something what I have always thought:
Europa keeps us young and pressures to take some
good care of us.

Thanks to all who replied to my request on Mod 68.
Taking note of replies, especially from Ivan, I
will change the bungees which have been on the a/c
for 13 years & 900 hours flt time.
The reason for my request is I am 80 yrs young &
suffered a hernia. I don't
blame the Europa, I am positive the cause was
doing the washing up!
Regards to all.
