I put the turn buckles in mine, both cables, so I adjust both together, keep
in mind the springs at the front,
if you shorten up a lot you may need longer springs. I locked the rudder and
then did the cables so the pedals are visually
the same. Seemed to work ok, I still have full travel stop to stop, Mind you
you may want a rubber block under the pedals
so you cant "Over Travel" the pedals when using full rudder.
Regards
Craig

Hi Mike,
How is it for size if you sit in the right seat ?
Those pedals are ''flat'' as opposed to the cranked forward ones on the lef
t, if that geometry works for you, get a pair of right hand pedals and swap
'em ?
All you will need is a couple of spanners, [and ideally some limit stops se
t just past full rudder travel, from the footwell front face]?
Cheers,
Nev

Subject: Europa-List: Rudder Pedal Adjustment
Re-sent with corrections for clarity!!
I need to get rid of the extra back cushion and bring the rudder pedals aft
to accommodate my short legs. Am I right in thinking that shortening the c
ables will result in the pedals no longer aligning themselves in the neutra
l position as is required in the manual? Looking at the geometry with the
stb pedal pivot aft of the port I see the port pedal being left behind th
e stb as both cables are shortened.
Before I start tinkering I would be glad to hear what others have done.
Thanks
Mike Gamble

Hi Richard,
Update for Mode S in France:
Based on a presentation by the DGAC made in September 2010, Mode S for VFR will
be required in designated airspace from March 2014. See attached document (in
french only, sorry!)
Regards
Remi Guerner

Thanks Nev, I had not thought of changing the pedals and I have already been
offered a set from Ian. I'll check that out.

Thanks Craig, I shall either shorten the cables or replace the pedals. I
think the cables will be an easier job. As soon as our arctic weather allows
me to get into my garage I'll do some serious measuring.
Mike
