Yes, it is. The upcoming events pane only shows the next few events. If you go to the Calendar menu and go through each month you will see all of the planned events for the year. Regards Brian Davies From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Sidsel & Svein Johnsen Sent: 06 March 2012 07:23 Subject: SV: Europa-List: The New Europa Club website Congratulations - very nice! One question to the Europa Club: The Europa Fly-In at Popham is not mentioned under "Upcoming Events". Is it still scheduled for 23rd & 24th June? Regards Svein LN-SKJ

Excellent site , congratulations to all who made it happen. Regards Ivan From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Steven Pitt Sent: 05 March 2012 20:14 Subject: Europa-List: The New Europa Club website To All Europa Club members and friends The new Europa website is now released to you at www.theeuropaclub.org - I urge you all to take a look at what has been achieved on your behalf. Can I draw your attention to the 'Flight Briefing' pages, as we feel that they will prove to be of considerable practical value to those flying, and will allow you to replace Guernsey Aeroclub pages from your favourites. The site has been a long time coming and is still 'work in progress' but we hope that you will agree that it contains much practical information and advice on building, flying and owning your Europa. I must stress that this is your website and your contributions are essential to the development and success of the Club. We would like your views and would like to have Letters/emails/etc to put into the next EF due in the Summer. I must say a big thank you to all the committee for the hard work that has gone into this creation. I do not want single out anyone but it is truly amazing what efforts have gone into this production, and will continue in the months to come. Whilst it is true that it has a significant UK slant this is to be rectified by the input that we would like from you all outside of these shores. Pages can be created for any of the areas that the Europa is based so let Tim Houlihan have some copy asap. I said I would not single out anyone but special thanks go to Sam Fidler who has created the website for us and also ensured that the Committee receives the necessary training to take this forward. Steve Pitt Chairman, Europa Club G-SMDH Trigear XS 912S PS don't forget to renew your membership at the end of this month.

Very helpful site, especially for newcomers like me! Not yet possible to su bscribe as a member but as soon as that part of the site works I will subsc ribe. Is there anyone among you all how started building the XS with the New Gene ration surfaces? And if so, do you have a builders log with pictures, tips and tricks et cetera? Would be of great assistance for me. I'm based in Holland near Amsterdam starting up with kit 627. From: Guerner Remi <AIR.GUERNER@orange.fr>
Subject: The Role of Type Clubs in Enhancing Aviation Safety
To those who are not members of the Europa Club yet, I have found an interesting article on the FAA website which starts with: "If you have a hobby or favorite activity, no matter how common or unconventional, there is probably a club somewhere out there that caters to that interest. Auto clubs, TV show fan clubs, and book clubs; these are just a few among the myriad organizations that appeal to nearly anything you can imagine. But how about a club that can help save you time, money, and possibly even your life one day? Sound good? If you=92re an airman, it most definitely would. Of course we=92re referring to aircraft =93type clubs,=94 which, for decades, have helped aircraft owners and pilots become more in tune with the performance and safety of their machines. In fact, anecdotal data suggest that members of an aircraft type club are less likely to have an accident than their non-member colleagues. If that piques your interest, please read on." The full article was published in the July-August 2011 issue of the FAA Safety Briefing, pages 26-27: http://www.faa.gov/news/safety%5Fbriefing/2011/media/JulAug2011.pdf Remi Guerner

Ira, These are good resources, but the USAF site has been the best predictive (5/7 forecast) site for Europe for many years. I had hoped that the slightly different version on the new Europa website (www.theeuropaclub.org) would be functioning, but that too is stuck producing charts for late January. Maybe USAF is having to make economies too! Incidentally if you would be able to put up a range of US weather sources covering the full range of things useful to someone going flying over there, we will happily create a weather links page on the new site devoted to the US (+ Canada) Regards, David Joyce, G-XSDJ On Tue, 6 Mar 2012 09:29:16 -0800 "rampil" <ira.rampil@gmail.com> wrote: ><ira.rampil@gmail.com> > > Here is the site for non-CONUS weather > > http://www.aviationweather.gov/iffdp/ > > -------- > Ira N224XS > > > > > Read this topic online here: > > http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=367873#367873 > > > > > > > >Un/Subscription, >Forums! >Admin. > > >

Hi Steve, Great job, I will for sure join the Club as soon as April 1st! The old website had been hosted by a long serving member for many years and we thank him for his support. Unfortunately the closure of his server happened slightly earlier than we had anticipated, hence the loss of the old site. However, we are working to resolve this issue within the next couple of days and eventually the new site will automatically connect you to the member services section as before. Please bear with us. We look forward to hearing your views on the new website. Steve Pitt Chairman, Europa Club

My 912S hasn't run for almost 12 months. It started and ran well on ground runs. Test flight was OK although there was some 'plucking'. Since then I have flown three more times and am finding that the engine runs fine at full revs or climb settings but when I back off at the top of the climb, it splutters and coughs a bit and runs quite roughly as if it is missing a bit. Doesn't fill me with confidence. I have pulled the plugs and they seem fine, nice even grey colour, no oily plugs. Where do I look next? Richard Iddon G-RIXS
