Hi Carl I am very interested in your trailer I have almost finished my Europa Tri-gear and need to move it to an airfield for taxi trials etc. Could you contact me off line if you still have it, my email is rcollings@talktalk.net and phone number is 01327260045 Regards Richard ----- Original Message ----- From: Carl Meek To: david park Sent: Sunday, April 15, 2012 8:50 PM Subject: Europa-List: Trailer Information I've had so many people email and ask for trailer details it's easier to post to everyone. This particular trailer is now for sale as I've been lucky enough to find hangarage, if anyone in the UK would like to buy it I'm looking for =A34000. For everyone else, all plans and photos are attached. You'll see that it was originally designed for a Jabiru, but it actually fits the europa BETTER than the jabiru!! ---- This is a twin-axle fully enclosed aircraft trailer. This trailer was custom built for me. It's pretty huge and will fit a wide range of aircraft. This is a true road legal and road going trailer. When I bought it I towed it 250 miles with my BMW 325i. Aircraft known to fit inside: * Jabiru UL450 with the long fin * Europa XS Trigear Features: * Corner jack points to lift the weight off the tyres and level it * Tracks for the nosewheel * Wing mounts inside * Solar panel, leisure battery, electric winch * Heavy duty jockey wheel (not currently fitted) * Fold down rear door that doubles as a ramp * A second ramp that doubles the length. Note that this was originally hinged off the main ramp but it made it too heavy so I cut the hinge. This is currently in SUSSEX, Pickup Only - I can't deliver. Available for viewing immediately and pickup around the end of April 2012.

It's a relief to know that minor geometrical anomalies in the frames are nothing to worry about. Intuitively, I feel the big fat tube where the U/C swinging arm pivots would be an even better thing to have level thwartwise, and of course that tube may not have finished up quite parallel to the bottom tube - I haven't tried to check that yet. Also, as the manual suggests with its reference to mounting temporarily the swinging arm, that tube should be at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the fuselage. Hi Rowland Since you are on the subject, before I installed my undercarriage mounting frame I set up the undercarriage with swingarm outside the aeroplane. It allows for very easy studying. I was shocked to find that both of my stops were too long! One of the stops was at center and one under center. It was a gear collapse waiting to happen. Good idea to check and correct before you mount. Have a look at the first album: http://www.europaowners.org/main.php?g2_itemId=86937 Be sure to click "no thumbnail" and either view or download document. Good Luck. Ron Parigoris

Not sure if your request was for a Tri-gear or Mono trailer but I don't have either. If it was for a mono, I would also be interested in getting some drawings for an open trailer. Alternatively (and sorry to hijack this thread) has anyone got an open mono trailer going spare that they may like to sell? Will If what you want is a closed Trigear trailer there is a PDF of the CAD drawing for my trailer (G-IANI) on the new club web site. Look under "flying your Europa", "Trailer" then click on "Trailer3" on the page. If this is what you want then I an happy to let you have the CAB file if it is of any help. The recently published plan of Carl Meek's trailer is misleading as the wheels are in the wrong place to give acceptable tow hitch loads with the aircraft in it. Just a quick update to say that despite the weather a successful gathering of Europa owners has taken place at Biberach in the last few days. Those attending were Dave Bosomworth, Ian Cook and myself from the UK, Bill Sisley from New Zealand, John Roedseth and partner from Luxembourg, Dirk Oyen and Karel Vranken from the Belgium/French border. Of special mention is Ivor Phillips who actually flew his Europa from Lydd to Biberach on Thursday in what was unkind weather. One further Europa was seen at Friedrichshafen PH-MJW so we did our best. A further report will be sent for the Europa Flyer. Regards Steve Pitt Chairman
