I might be able to help David. If I stay with just one set for emergency use. Regards Bob H PS Not home at present but probably if I happen to fly alone on the Northern Baltics Tour I'll have it with me.Let me know. -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of David Joyce Sent: 05 May 2012 10:12 Subject: Europa-List: Headset for BAP Along with some other Gloucester Strut members I have been supervising the building of a Rans S6 at a local school (details at: www.buildaplanestroud.com ). Europa owners have previously very generously donated an old radio, an intercom and one head set. The plane is now not far off flying and we lack a second head set. Does anyone by any chance have an old set (that they have replaced with a new shiny model) which they could be persuaded to part with for this worthy cause? Regards, David Joyce, G-XSDJ

    Subject: baltic charts
Does anyone have any charts for the baltic states that I could beg, borrow, hire etc? I am hoping to join Bob Harrison etc on the Baltic trip but just started to work out which charts I need. I have a Skymap and Skydemon on an Ipad with all up to date info but obviously I need some paper as a backup (sorry, I guess that should be the other way round). I bought Denmark and South Sweden at Elstree the other day but they didn't have any charts for the rest of the Baltic. I need Sweden north of Norrkoping, Norway and Finland. They don't have to be up to date. I can check them against current info on my electronic aids and correct them as necessary. Richard Iddon G-RIXS

Yes, I need to hang it from the rafters at the max climb angle. Rob Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=372504#372504

Roughly 20 sounds about right (it is pretty steep!). If you tie your tail hook to the floor to simulate 20 angle you should be fine for the fuel free flow test. BTW Vx and Vy change with weight, and Vx of 61 is only applicable to the factory flight test article at max gross wt. If you know your Vx at max gross then you can rule of thumb that it decreases about 1 kt for each 100 lbs below gross. Personally, I never had 224XS up to gross wt until after my initial 40 hr flight test period. Of course the test goes on, the test goes on (I think I hear Cher in here) -------- Ira N224XS Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=372506#372506

Bob, If you can spare it , it sounds a better bet than Rowlands. Delighted to hear that Richard is contemplating coming to N. Pole! have you heard any more from G-BYSA?
