Hi! All Our Air Show is still on track to the best ever tomorrow and Sunday. On my last communication I asked that anyone who came wanting Mogas, I will have some measured 25 litre cans available if you requested it. To this point in time no one has asked! Which looks somewhat onerous for our attendance figures! Regards Bob Harrison G-PTAG

! Bob, the LAA Party in the park at Shuttleworth tomorrow (which I was meant to be attending) has been cancelled because of weather predictions. I might have done my best to support you but in the meantime have been hit by a gust while taxing, done a ground loop and dinged my prop so am US for a while! (although the possibility of watching the rugby test match is a most attractive alternative!) Regards, David On Fri, 15 Jun 2012 13:16:26 +0100 "Bob Harrison" <ptag.dev@talktalk.net> wrote: > Hi! sorry to hear that. My SR3000/3W is adorning the dining room table at present if you needed one short term. My mod form is in to the LAA but I am not in any hurry. regards Graeme 07702361318 in Milton Keynes, going to GCHQ next Thursday -------- Graeme Bird G-UMPY Mono Classic/XS FWFD 912ULS/Warp drive FP Newby: 35 hours g(at)gdbmk.co.uk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=375764#375764

Hi David. Sorry to hear about the gust of wind. how bad is the "ding" can it be dressed out ? Don't forget I have a set of blades that you delivered to me I guess that they will not fit your hub but if they do let me know. I had my permit renewal inspection last weekend and I was advised that my oil return hose had a slight amount of oil from the area of the union at the bottom of the crankcase. I decided that I did not like the idea of even a small amount of oil dripping onto the exhaust so I ordered a replacement length of hose from Europa earlier this week and I am still waiting for it to arrive. If you want the use of a Europa in the next few days I am sure something can be arranged, that is you could cope with a classic with 80hp on a good day and MK1 eyeball nav fit ! ! :<) Tim On 15 June 2012 20:04, David Joyce <davidjoyce@doctors.org.uk> wrote: > davidjoyce@doctors.org.uk> > > > Bob, the LAA Party in the park at Shuttleworth tomorrow (which I was meant > to be attending) has been cancelled because of weather predictions. Subject: Re: tyre pressure
According to my Manual (dated August 1998) the correct tyre pressure for the monowheel is 18psi. I usually use about 20psi Frank Mycroft ----- Original Message ----- From: Bud Yerly To: europa-list@matronics.com Sent: Friday, June 15, 2012 5:41 AM Subject: Re: Europa-List: tyre pressure Guys, Tyre Pressure has always been in section 7 of the operators handbook and section 29T page 7 of the build manual. I know, who reads that! 2 bar or 30 PSI. I use 35 personally based on tire manufacturers recommendation for the Michelin. Air Hawk doesn't seem to give one so stick with 35 all around. Note that I also have very low wheel pants so the pressure is a bit more than normal to keep my pants from draggin'... My wheel does not show below my pants and you can't get a standard wheel chock under it. But it does give a bit more speed. More on that some other time... 12AY does 146 Knots with the new pants vice 135 with the old pants at 5500/34 inches at 1000 MSL. And it is a trigear. Of course three years ago I thought I had the slowest Europa ever, but I found that my MP gauge was defective. I changed wheel pants, gear legs etc. then figured out it was the MP gauge. Duh. Gear legs do make a difference as does lowering the wheel pants on speed. But don't land on grass with my pants on a really soggy field unless you want to do some repairs... Ah the compromises we make. I have a more than disgruntled customer who learned the hard way. I told him I was concerned about raising his pants to 4 inches high. His trigear only goes 130 at max cruise. Not very spectacular...but he can land on very rough strips... Basically he has mud flaps not speed fairings. On the motor glider, I recommend the higher pants as it doesn't mater as much with the VNE at 127 unless you are soaring and going for efficiency. The extra 100 pounds of the motor glider though squishes that tire set a bit more. However, it is not easy to find. I spent about 2 hrs. a couple of years ago and found the 32 lb. number. Like many things in the manual, "it is in there somewhere."
