Hi William, In the good old days when I had a mono we used to carry two 'Dahon' folding bikes together with camping gear. The bikes weighed in at 28 lbs each so you needed to watch weight and CG issues. They used to sit either side of the tunnel immediately against the back of the fuel tank. One wheel of each bike fitted down into the pits on either side of the tunnel. Go for it Pete -----Original Message----- From: owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-europa-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of William Bliss Sent: 17 June 2012 22:13 Subject: Europa-List: folding bikes hello all I'm new to this group - considering buying a taildragger Europa to fly from a farm strip NE England. Can anyone tell me if the XS baggage space is big enough for 2 folding bicycles (Brompton or similar)? Thanks William Bliss ----- No virus found in this message. Checked by AVG - www.avg.com

Hi! To those who managed to fit in the Wickenby Wings and Wheels event over the weekend. Below is a list of those I'm aware . Namely :- Ivor Phillips (who put a bathroom project on hold to attend and made it from Lydd in 1 hour 10 minutes Saturday and who must have almost "hovered in" on Saturday Morning on Runway 21.) Richard and Ben Iddon (Sunday) Alistair Milne ( " ) Brian Hutchinson ( " ) Plus another mono "driver" who I didn't get to meet .(Sunday ) I'm sorry I was so tied up with show duties as not to spend time or even meet up in the case of the Mono chap, but I was very involved in the collecting of entrance fees from the public on the main gate. The Sunday attendance was brilliant and we almost ran out of car parking space. Saturday may have broken even and the Saturday evening Dinner Dance was a sell out including it's own air display and will have been profitable in the interests of the Lincs Air Ambulance. It is however bemusing why we can't get a larger Europa gathering when compared with Southern events? I do hope those who attended enjoyed the top class flying displays will signify their agreement that the Show was value for money.....so that our Southern "Brothers" will make us some better support in future years and demonstrate that our being North of Watford is not quite so bad or difficult as perhaps they perceive. I have been very involved in the planning and know just how much costs are invested to provide such a varied show of aircraft in use. So IMHO it seems a waste not to get maximum attendance especially from our Europa Club. Members . I make a lot of commitment to the project expecting a Europa blitz which never happens , we notify the date very early so that diaries commitment can be entered up so perhaps next year it will bear fruit? Regards Bob Harrison G-PTAG
