Gerry,
Jabiru should have cowling and FWF for the 3300 Europa. At least they said they
did when I questioned them about the cooling ducting I got from them many years
ago.

Ferg,
I think you are referring to the airbox pressure sensor, correct? The wiring harness
from Rotax that connects the sensors to the TCU has all white wires that
have numbers printed on them. The airbox pressure sensor numbers are 9, 33,
21 (the static pressure sensor numbers are 6, 30, 18). I'm thinking that a
connector has been inserted in your harness to make the firewall penetration.
I think you should be able to determine which color wire is which number at the
TCU. At the airbox sensor, looking at the sensor from the top (where the writing
is) with the wires pointing towards you, 21 is on the left, 33 the center
and 9 is on the right.
Hope this helps! We could fly over this weekend and help except we're not set
up to cross the border. Maybe come to Niagara Falls?

Subject: | Gear down and locked switch |
Hi All,
I have just ordered a SmartASS II Airspeed Speaker from Mark Burton and one
of the features it has is to integrate with a gear down switch if you have
one installed.
I am looking for best practices from mono wheel folks that have installed a
gear down and locked switch on the main wheel (I already have them on the
out riggers). I am interested to know where people have mounted them, and
what type of micro switches they have used. (part number would be nice)
Also, I noticed a few months back someone posted a data sheet in non
ferrous proximity sensors for door latch sensing, but I can't seem to find
it. If anyone has a URL for this I'd appreciate it if they could send it
too me.
Thanks and regards, Paul

Many thanks to Bob Borger for his quick response...
I finally found my errant instructions to re-connect the Manifold
Pressure to the Dynon EMS D-10A instrument harness. It was on page 3-5 of
the Installation Manual and 'splains everything.
I apologise for having typed before engaging brain gear. All is now
in order - relatively.

Paul, If you ask Mark Burton nicely he will either supply
you with an appropriate water proof switch, or tell you
where to order one from. I fitted mine so that the lever
arm actuating the switch sticks out into the 'down'
detent. There are two holes in the micro switch and I have
put two small screws through those holes into the
fibreglass just behind the alloy surround of the gear
lever, and also Aralditing the side of the switch to the
fibreglass. I also put a dollop of silicone sealant
covering the end of he switch where the wires emerge to
help the switch's own waterproofing, as it is in the spray
line if the runway is wet.
