Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep the gasket then.
I've spoken to Light Aero , and they say that this is resistant to
Mogas http://www.lasaero.com/site/products/article?id=D02VK9NTH ,
I'll give it a try,

Hi Jonathan,
you can have my 914. Only problem: it's overboosted.
Seriously - I think there are few 80hp Trigears left, thus I'm curious, if someone
has an advise for you.
Good luck!

Jonathan-
Call Peter Jeffers. I believe his plane was a mono converted to tri and he is using
an 80 HP Rotax. As I remember from talking to him, it is just fine with He,
Susan, and a little luggage.

Cheers,
I tiled this solely to attract attention. Here I am, sitting in the
cockpit, trying to fit the instrument panel into the firewall for the fifth
time. It is constructed from a hint given by one of our early constructors
which permits the attachment by means of #10 x 32 bolts fastened to the
panel surround FORWARD through the firewall to be washered and nutted in the
914 engine compartment.
You may imagine the myriad of wires and connections waiting for
completion. All but one of these is achieved. The exception is a Rotax
cable, covered with the usual braided black plastic and holding four wires.
The end of the cable is a D-sub connector with wires #12, 24, 36 and 17
therein.
Can I find where it goes? These wires are not mentioned anywhere I
can find, but I have a stolen maintenance diagram without attachment details
which specify 12v in one and I forget the other three.
I started at seven this morning in the cool, and it's now noon and
upwards of 28 in brilliant sun, and I'm stymied.
If you can find the normally-provided circuit diagram which tells me
where to put it, or can remember yourself, I would be grateful and promise
to provide liquid stimulus at an up-coming banquet (yet to be determined.
The desparate need as the subject is the knowledge it's going to 31
celsius tomorrow.
Thanks in advance,
Ferg C-FFGG 914

We have an 80hp tri-gear with a wobbly prop operating out of our 450m
strip, no problem.
Regards,
-Carl.

Pins 12,24,36 and 17 are the serial interface for connecting to your
computer. You need these to set the throttle position accurately.
I have clipped the attached out of my notes.
I hope this helps, let me know if you want more information

Jonathon,
I operate G-BWFH, the aircraft referred to by Carl Meek which is based at Deanland
a 450 metre strip in Sussex. It was converted from a mono five years ago
has an 80HP engine and an Airmaster 322 prop, and has the 1370lb mod, so is very
similar to your aircraft. It has an empty weight of 882 lbs and is not particularly
'clean' aerodynamically with only the flap hinge fairings fitted from
the speed kit.
I did not own the aircraft as a mono but can confirm I have been operating for
two years of 450 metres without any major problems. As I am not a lightweight
(190lbs!) I do look at weight carefully in calm/hot conditions. Recently I went
out in zero wind/25C at 1300lbs. The take off run was about 370 metres, rotating
at 45-50kts and building to 60kts in ground effect and gradually increasing
to 70kts for the initial climb. I estimate we crossed the thresh hold fence
at 50ft -70ft at a rate of about 400 fpm. This rate was maintained until 300
feet when the flaps were retracted and a rate of cimb of approx 600 fpm was maintained.
Of course I do have to watch the fuel load in these conditions, but most of the
time I have no problems.
Hope this is of some use.
