Hi Everybody!
Been a while since I wrote anything but recently (well, back in Jan.) I
moved from Stockholm (SE) to Sydney (AU).
Packed up everything including my Tri-Gear kit 426 (still unfinished...
sigh...) which finally arrived here in June and is now in storage along with
my other worldly goods.
Would love to get in touch with any (all) Europa builders/fliers here in the
Sydney (or NSW) area...
Regards,
Philip (Tri-Gear Kit 426)
PS:
To all Swedish/Nordic builders & fliers... Yes, this is what happened to me
(in case you were wondering).

Subject: | Maybe daft question but... |
Can anyone answer as to weather the standard Europa factory wing fitted stall warner
could be connected instead as an AoA indicator? Eg. to the AoA pneumatic
input of one of the Efis systems,

Hi Steve
The Dynon input for AOA needs greater pressure for higher AOA, not less
like the Europa stall warner provides.
I'm not flying yet, but here is my plan for home grown AOA probe:

Steve-
Logic tells me "no." The Europa warner is digital, in that it depends on the angle
of the air meeting it to flip it up, where it makes contact. The difference
in AOA between where it is in the down position and where it is in the up position
is probably very small. I have the Dynon AOA and it depends on the pressure
differential between the two probes. As AOA increases, the pressure on the
"normal" input is reduced, and the pressure on the lower probe is increased.
The internal computer compares them and gives you AOA.
