I cannot let today go by without wishing G-YURO a Happy Birthday as it is 20 years ago today, as reported by Ivan, that G-YURO took to the skies for the first time from Gamston. As we know now the result was one of the finest light aircraft produced in Britain and the numbers of Europas around the world are testament to the success of this aircraft. Well done to Ivan, Andy and the rest of the team and thanks for many years of great enjoyment in the past and in the future. Regards Steve Pitt Chairman Europa Club PS I tried to send a photo but Matronics did not like the file format. Go to flickr for a selection of photos of G-YURO

Steve For the benefit of those who may not have noticed, I see you have put up a picture of G-YURO on the Home page, added another and deleted the 912is. Good it needed an update. Your note referred us to Flickr for pictures of G-YURO. I am reluctant to join as it messes with your browser and I do not know a way to access without joining. Who owns those pictures? Can we get them on our site? Ian

....And created a lot of favourable comments in the aviation press - which again ignited many enthusiasts. Including myself.. I salute Ivan, Andy and all the others (definitely Neville!) for a job well done. Pity this chap - whose name should not be mentioned - nearly ruined the whole project. Best wishes to Mr. Stanbridge and his gang! Hans - ex owner of kit #334/LN-HJD. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steven Pitt" <steven.pitt2@ntlworld.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2012 1:14 PM Subject: Europa-List: HAPPY BIRTHDAY EUROPA > <steven.pitt2@ntlworld.com> > > I cannot let today go by without wishing G-YURO a Happy Birthday as it is > 20 > years ago today, as reported by Ivan, that G-YURO took to the skies for > the > first time from Gamston. > As we know now the result was one of the finest light aircraft produced in > Britain and the numbers of Europas around the world are testament to the > success of this aircraft. > Well done to Ivan, Andy and the rest of the team and thanks for many years > of great enjoyment in the past and in the future. > > Regards > Steve Pitt > Chairman Europa Club > PS I tried to send a photo but Matronics did not like the file format. 20 years - and looking so young!! Europa is up there among the sleekest, best-looking aircraft, with flying qualities unmatched. It is hard to imagine that the first Europa was already 10 years old when I was fitting the cockpit module into the lower fuselage half (Oh, all those good memories from the building process ..........) I join all in congratulating - and thanking ever so much - Ivan, Andy, Neville and the other GOOD members of the team - past and present - that made Europa to what it is today. I built my plane, but you created it. Regards, Svein LN-SKJ
