Timed the boost gauge : no lag whatsoever, the MP reaches the red line at the same time the throttle lever reaches the stop. During that time the airplane runs about 30-50 ft. I should want to be sure the wheel will latch up .. and also go down. That all looks quite tight considering my muddy field this time of the year at least. -------- Graeme Bird G-UMPY Mono 912S/Woodcomp 3000/3W Newby: 45 hours g(at)gdbmk.co.uk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=390610#390610 ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 01:52:48 PM PST US Subject: Europa-List: Door Lugs - serious problem From: "jglazener" I have nearly finished fitting my doors. Last weekend I put in the ball fittings for the gas struts. I put on the struts, and with a felt pen in hand to cross off yet another historic chapter I gently closed the door. Crack!!- the lug had not just broken off but practically disintegrated. See http://www.europaowners.org/main.php?g2_itemId=105733 Shocked but assuming this was a one off I moved to the other door. Mindfully I treated this very carefully, but even with light hand pressure the lug also came off forthwith. I understand from another builder that there should be an aluminium plate inside the lug, but there certainly are none in mine, at least not in the position of the hole. Anybody had this same problem? If so is there a repair method? -------- Jeroen http://www.europaowners.org/main.php?g2_itemId=44165 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=390616#390616 ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 02:11:42 PM PST US From: Jeff B Subject: Re: Europa-List: Door Lugs - serious problem As you were told, there should have been a thick piece of aluminum inside that lug. That's the way mine is made and I've never had a problem... Jeff - Baby Blue On 12/17/2012 3:51 PM, jglazener wrote: > > I have nearly finished fitting my doors.
