Hi Gerry,
Yes I'm still here. so sorry to hear about your prang, but very pleased you came
out of the experience OK. Sounds like what you've done is dramatically increase
the value of the Corben you have now, as it's now the only one left. A very
cunning plan I say :)
We;ve had a great summer, day after day of blue sky. Most of the country has had
no real rain for 2 months. great for the wine growers but some of the real farmers
are starting to get a bit twitchy. Mind you I've never met a farmer who
hasn't got something to moan about.
I'm glad that you liked Queensland. Aussie's OK, it's gets too bloody hot, has
too many flies, 1000's of miles of boring landscape and it's full of bloody Aussies.
But it's OK. You realise of course it's just a preview for Godszone. Some
day you must get over here and I'll show you a truly wonderful place.
I'm still far too bloody busy to have too much fun at the moment. I'm doing a bit
of motorbike riding but no flying. I've hardly used my boat all summer but
actually the best boating weather is now and the next 6 weeks. Once I get a bit
of business stuff out of the way I'll be getting some boat time in. Hoping to
get to teh Uk in May sort of time. I'll let you know.
Good to touch base old mate. Stay safe :)
Rob

I'm just making my flaps at the moment BUT its getting near that time and very
soon will be starting on my wings so want to ask any classic owners on here for
any tips, tricks or cheats that might save me time/patience or anything that
you would have done differently with hines sight. Also i don't have the biaxial
cloth which came with the kit, does anyone know of anyone with some or know
where i might get some to the correct spec?. I have contacted Andy Draper at
the LAA and he said if i cant get any then uni 92145 at + and - 45 degrees is
the way to go. Any input is great fully received.

It's a long time ago now but I used the biaxial supplied with the kit #109.
It is very thick and a sod to wet out properly. It is also difficult to
bend and get a nice fold round the spa.
I thought at the time I would much have preferred to have worked with 2
layers of uni. It would have been more work but I think it would have
produced a better job.
Regards
Pete

Hi Alan,
yesterday I had a thorough inspection on my Trigear XS and guess what - I discovered
the same dent at exactly the same place as on your Europa. I am also not
aware of the dent being there before and I am as well sure not to have made a
hard landing. Then I remembered the topic on the forum a while ago.
You already concluded, that all is well with your aircraft but I thought that might
be of interest for you or anybody else.
