Can anyone help with this issue.
Dynon Skyview showing 8000+ on the RPM gauge at max RPM test running on a
914.
As the aircraft is fitted with the Airmaster prop system, the controller
should be ensuring that the engine is not overspeeding. Is it a set up
problem or has anyone come across this issue?
Tick over seems correct at around the 1600rpm.
Thanks in anticipation.
To all of those who answered my email re Skymap breakdown, I am still to
decide which way to go and I thank you all for the instant input.

Steve, I would connect the 914 TCU serial output to a PC with the ROTAX TLR46.exe
program. There you can see many parameters of the engine and especially the
real engine RPM. Also the complete history when the engine was run out of tolerances.
Running a ROTAX914 at 8000 RPM means: go to the ROTAX dealer to order
an engine teardown and likely an overhaul!
I am pretty sure that there is a setup issue with skyview. The installation manual
says:
Trigger Coil (Rotax 912, except 912 iS)
The Rotax 912 engines have a 5th trigger coil for the purposes of electrically
monitoring rev counts. This trigger coil outputs to a two-wire harness. Connect
either of the two wires to ground; connect the other to the standard RPM Left
input on the SV-EMS-220. If you observe erratic tachometer readings or momentary
spikes in the display - particularly at higher RPM install a 60K resistor
inline (in series) between the trigger coil and SV-EMS-220 (RPM LEFT (Pin32,
White/Green wire).
Also, is the Skyview sensor setup correctly done?
Jacques.

Subject: | Housing For Sun-N-Fun |
Hi All,
As some of you know I move to FL last April. My house is about a 30 minute drive
north of Sun-N-Fun. I just bought another house that we've moved into and I
now have the 1st one available for the week of Sun-N-Fun. It's 1700 feet with
2 bedrooms and 2 bathe's. It's fully furnished and I'd be willing to rent it to
anyone that hasn't made arrangements yet. It has two queen beds and a nice back
lani for chilling with a cold beer.
Email or call me direct if anyone needs it for the week.
Thanks,

I'm looking to replace all my rubber hoses this spring and I'm looking
for a recommendation from those who have recently done this.
The straight lengths of hose are easy I can get the sizes I need from
Lockwood or similar but I'm not sure of the Europa specific ones, the
two coolant hoses that come up from the radiator and the oil tubing
which has the 90 deg bend it that runs from the oil pump to the can.
I assume you can get them from Europa of course but if they are from
some other aircraft or vehicle then I can probably source them here in
the States.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
