I'm planing to visit Corse with my Europa during the second half of August and would very much like to find a hangar space for 2-3 weeks in Bastia or somewhere else. Many years ago I met Jo Alfonsi with his beautiful Europa F-PAJO ("le petit Prince") in Bastia; does anybody have Jo's email so I can drop him a line? Thanks a lot Cheers Klaus (OE-CKD)

The Wickenby Wings and Wheels Air show is on 15th and 16th June and promises to be a very good event to attend with possible showings of Vulcan, Red Bull, and BBMF. Throughout the weekend. There will be lots of side stalls and attractions for kids and static aircraft ,4x4 off roading and vintage vehicles and a Fun of the Forties two course Dinner Dance with live music by Swingtime Jazz Band and bar in a Marquee. I think I have solved the problem. Despite having removed the brushes and cleaned the slip ring once, I decided to do the whole operation again. What I found was the inner ring brush had a very sticky spring and was sometimes getting stuck at the mid-way point, thus making intermittent contact with the ring. (When I removed the brushes the first time everything appeared fine so I missed the problem.) It is possible the vibration caused by the landing run and stopping the engine might have been enough to cause the brush to contact the inner ring as all ground feathering tests were fine. A short test flight showed the propeller and all light indications to be functioning perfectly with not a hint of the FEATHER light illuminating! -------- Gordon Grant G-BWFH Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=401522#401522

    Subject: My Thanks
I have really been moved by the messages of support from so many of my Europa friends. My sincerest thanks to Rick, Bob, Trevor, Kevin, David, Ron, Fergus et al. However it has made me feel a bit of a fraud. I didn't intend to give the impression I'm at deaths door. I still have a LAPL and have been offered the chance to fly another aircraft out of Wadswick, when and if G-KIMM sells. My main problem is that I don't speak too well - I know that many manage non radio, but additionally some of the physical demands mean that I'm not enjoying my flying any more. We all know the one thing a Europa should be is fun! The result is that I've decided to try and sell my aircraft while I still can. Many thanks again, All the Best, Paddy Paddy Clarke Europa G-KIMM All replies will be to: gkimm@btinternet.com
