Hi! Colour chart here:- Mine was actually Cobalt Blue.:- www.goldburnfinishers.co.uk/ Also:- www.accoatings.co.uk/who are in Birmingham ( I think they were the outfit that "supplied only" my paint, although I had them near Leicester in my mind. .....Long time ago ! The Paint is actually known as Nextel Suade Paint and that is the key to ensure no reflection on the windows for photographic work. Regards Bob Harrison. I am thinking of installing a Fuel Flow Meter in my Europa as the tank gauge is way out, and i use a Fuel Table that i have made up to check the contents in the tank, so a flow meter would be useful. The engine is a 914, Full tank to Full tank 2 hr X/C flight, 28 litres. Alan, I have been totally happy with FDS FC-10 http://www.fdatasystems.com/Products/FC-10/FC-10.html Today that computer is essential and mandatory in my panel - would not like to fly w/o it any more. It is a real safety equipment and when connected to the GPS, gives as lot more peace of mind. I was flying 2,5 hours formation flight with FK-9 and an average speed was around 100 kts. It was nice to see I was using about 10,5 litres /hour (engine rpm still 5000 w CS-prop). That means endurance 6 h VFR reserves. Hi Raimo! Did you happen to note what your manifold pressure was at a fuel flow of 2.9 gph and 100 kts? It seems a bit on the low side compared with N224XS. -------- Ira N224XS Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=407203#407203

Thanks to all for the useful input. Nextel is emerging as a clear favourite. I have, however, heard it can attract greasy fingermarks - can anybody who has been flying behind it for any length of time (Bob H?) confirm or deny? Or any general reports on serviceability? Apologies to those who have applied Nextel and not yet flown...! The bad news is it is 47.81 for 1 litre (covers 5 sqm), plus primer at 21.87 and thinner at 9.45 for 1 litre, plus 30 carriage (all + VAT!) Anybody fancy going halves on all of the above in Nextel's light grey? http://www.goldburnfinishers.co.uk/nextel_chart.php Or, better yet, anybody got 1/2 a litre of light grey (or near offer) plus primer & thinners for sale to a good home? Hi! I think there probably isn't many more people with greasy fingers than me ! With Cobalt Blue no Problem anyway ! Also have done some modifications with a brush ...still no problems and a good texture colour to match too! Get a check price from the Birmingham/Leicester people but hey ...you can't take it with you ! Hey Paul, I have about 0.5l of the grey and more importantly a qty of liquid hardener and some thinners - see pic The tricky bit is how to get it to you as being solvent based paint the RM are cagey about posting it. PS; the UK supplier at the time was Mankiewicz UK in Leicester: Unit 26, Ashville Way, Whetstone, LE8 6NU 0116 284 7780. Not sure if they are still around but if you prefer a different colour from the 'anthacite' I have, its worth trying to call them. I can recommend it - looks good, does not seem to show any fingermarks, and does not reflect sunlight in the air. A pic of my panel attached btw Clive Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=407244#407244 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/img_0378_779.jpg

Hi. I have a trailer hanger, I use a motor cycle mover, basically platform with 4 castoring little wheels, I place it under the nose wheel attaching the wheel to the platform, this tilts the plane up lowering the tail to any height you want. Then pull and push manauovering the plane around in tight places. Regards. Alan Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=407249#407249

I would far prefer to buy the items listed by Paul below to use myself rather than pay nearly 500 for them to do it .....!!! You could save yourself a lot of money by spraying the panel with ordinary gloss spray paint of your colour choice and then rubbing down very lightly and spraying with a clear satin varnish. I did this on my panel and it is still perfect after 6 years. Total cost about 20. I have used deco sand in dark grey from IKEA, mixed it with resin and hardener, got in on my aluminium panels and after cure sanded with soft grinding paper some grains down. Looks great and the cost was zero. Nextel is only selling in minimum charges of 1 litre and very expensive.
