Fred - thanks, as so often the answer is "read the fine manual"!

Graham - I'm switching inspectors and the new one although fully composite-qualified,
has not done a Europa before, so I didn't ask him. As you can see from
my other reply, the answer was RTFM anyway.

Dear Steve
I would be happy to do some duties on the stand if needed. I would prefer
to leave Friday clear, but any time on Saturday or Sunday is OK.
I am still waiting to receive bank details for payment for clothing.
Otherwise I could blow the cobwebs off my cheque book and give you a cheque
on the day.
Regards,

My apologies to everyone, my last e-mail should have been sent to Steve
personally and was sent to the list in error - the dangers of pushing the
reply button without thinking first!

With three days to go all is coming together.
We have a pitch (see the LAA website for the Rally) and the Committee will
be on hand to welcome you all, Europa followers/owners etc. If you are not a
member, Membership forms will be on hand.
The Club marquee will be pitched although forecasts suggest it will be used
for shelter from the sun rather than rain (let's hope that is accurate).
Whilst the Committee have arranged stand rotas anyone able to give an hour
or so's help to talk to the public would be welcome.
We are trying to arrange dedicated Europa parking.
Light refreshments will be available and the donation box will be in action.
See you over the weekend.
Steve

Does anyone know what unleaded fuel is available at Sywell? On the airport website
they say MOGAS, without any detail. Last time I was there the proposed Mogas
was 82UL which is a no go for the 912S and 914. I would like to avoid to be
forced to take 100LL.

Remi, In the Uk standard unleaded is 95 RON and probably
90% of petrol cars run on it, as do all our Rotax engines.
My 914 has been entirely happy for 10 yrs and numerous
friends 912/Ss. My understanding is that Rotax stipulate
95 RON for the 912s and 914, and that 82UL is something
quite seperate a special purple oloured leaded Avgas for
low compression engines which I have never actually
seen. There is up to 5% ethanol in pump Mogas
but there is a good chance that Sywell will have got some
of the ethanol free petrol still around.

Subject: | Interior Paint Styled Finish |
Gidday,
I'm working in the aft cockpit area and am wondering if anyone has found a suitable
paint styled finish that I could apply at this stage, to give a light weight
but fairly harsh interior. I know of epoxy paints used on the inside of boats,
speckled, but this stuff as I recall from the list falls off and or badly
abrades and shows wear marks. I'd like to consider something I can just paint
on for example the back of the cockpit module down into the wells where the rear
tie rod is located. That entire rear area I'd prefer NOT to upholster, and
in fact I am thinking about not having any upholstery albeit I appreciate there
will be a noise significance. I figure noise cancelling headsets which I will
be wearing anyway should negate that, plus I think I am preferring the harsher
look rather than plush. I have carbon fibre wrap material, film, that I intend
on using over the tunnel and visible areas of the cockpit, once I master
how to use this stuff. Will have to steal my wife's hairdryer, a device I absolutely
hate the sound of, but, if that is all you need to stretch this film around
complex curves, and it has such an interesting finish when done, that I'll
suffer it.
Thanks in anticipation, and hope.
Regards
