Subject: | A List Contribution - It's Your Personal Squelch Button... |
There is an automatic "squelch button" of sorts for the Fund Raiser messages.
Here's how it works... As soon as a List member makes a Contribution through
the Matronics Fund Raiser web site, their email address is automatically added
to this year's Contributor List and they instantly cease to receive further Fund
Raiser messages for the rest of the month! Its just that simple! :-)
I really do appreciate each and every one of your individual Contributions to support
the Lists. It is your support that enables me to upgrade the hardware
and software that are required to run a List Site such as this one. It also goes
to pay for the commercial-grade Internet connection and to pay the huge electric
bill to keep the computer gear running and the air conditioner powered
on. I run all of the Matronics Email List and Forums sites here locally which
allows me to control and monitor every aspect of the system for the utmost in
reliably and performance. Your personal Contribution matters because, when combined
with other Listers such as yourself, it pays the bills to keep this site
up and running. I accept exactly ZERO advertising dollars for the Matronics
Lists sites. I can't stand the pop-up ads and all other commercials that are
so prevalent on the Internet these days and I particularly don't want to have
it on my Email List sites.
If you appreciate the ad-free, grass-roots, down-home feel of the Matronics Email
Lists, please make a Contribution to keep it that way!!

The system keys on the given email address and since most of these are anonymous
public access methods, there is no simple way to filter them.]

Subject: | Matronics Email Disruption Fixed... |
Dear Listers,
Starting around midnight this morning 11/11/13, the Matronics Barracuda spam filter
that receives all incoming email from the Internet, developed a problem and
started rejecting all incoming
email. I just got off the phone with the Barracuda technical support and we have
resolved the issue as of 10:15am PST.
If you have posted to any of the Lists during this time, you will need to resend
your email to the respective List.
My apologies for the disruption!

Hello Bill,
I'm a bit late getting back on this one but as others have said, I built
a tank out of 5251 quarter-hard magnesium alloy.
It weighs 7850 grams and has a capacity of 110 litres.
I incorporated internal baffles, and breathers with proper AN fittings
to accommodate alloy pipework. It is also fitted with a full length
capacitive probe and four solid-state optical fuel level sensors.

The only advice I would offer is: allow yourself a long time to make and perfect
your cardboard templates - the fuselage is partly conical in section so the
development will be an interesting shape. Choose a welder based on his ability
to weld alloy and don't fall into the trap I did of restricting yourself to a
CAA approved welder whose self-belief exceeded his ability!

Thank you Nigel,
Having got the top off now I can see that the leak is at the shelf on
the front of the tank where it sits on the mount. It appears that the
fibreglass had bonded to the tank and with movement caused a fracture
due to the stress. Having looked at the tank now which is very deformed
and reducing capacity, I am sure a "metal" one will be much superior.
Fortunately there are some very good craftsman around here so
fabrication will not be a problem. Not sure we will get to the same
volume as you have but will certainly look for more than I have now.
Will send some pic,s when all done.
Regards
Sue and Bill Sisley

Hi,=0APV50 -If you find your problem is the pitch-change motor and you find
a supplier then I would like to have the details so that I can buy a spare
.=0AIt is possible to fit a resistor in the pink supply wire to the motor.I
t is 2 ohms-10W-RS part no:252-2489.=0AI love the Arplast/Smart Avionics pr
opeller/controller system. It does take time to understand and setup correct
ly,particularly the coarse pitch setting to allow a reasonable climb rate o
n a go around.=0AI suspect that the micro switches may also need changing i
n time and even could be your problem. I have fitted the recommended mechan
ical stops on the pitchchange screw to limit pitch runaway in case of switc
