Apologies to those outside the UK who may not know him; Ian has for a long time
been the Europa Club Mods Specialist.
Ian and 8 others from the LAA were presented with awards by the patron of the Royal
Aero Club, HRH The Duke of York, in a ceremony at the RAF Club on Tuesday
13 May.

Well done Ian!

I think it's hard to find anyone in the Europa family (also outside the UK) who
didn't at least profit in some way from Ian's valuable and outstanding technical
knowledge.
His (and Irene's) hospitality on our long way home from Perranporth to Germany
(although they didn't even know us up to this day) my father and me will keep
in best memory.
Congrats also from me, Ian!

Last time I spoke to Nev a couple of months ago, he told me that he was about to
move premises to a place "underground". Quite literally his new workplace is/will
be below ground level and he won't get a mobile 'phone signal.
So I guess that you'd need to try calling him when you think he might have surfaced
for air and sunlight. Presumably he'll still be using his old mobile phone
number!
I wouldn't hold my breath in the expectation that he'll be installing a landline.

and after construction.
It's great that his efforts have been officially recognised.
Congratulations Ian.
