More Urban myths! The whole reason coax is concentrically shielded is to
prevent noise pickup, in or out! Besides there is NO noise to speak of from a Battery
cable!
FWIW, SkyCrafters, near Bud's place sometimes gets in RG400 surplus rolls
They sell for less than a dollar a foot.

Hi Fred,
I have the Dynon transponder installed with RG58 coax. I wasn't too exc
ited about having to replace the coax so I thought
I would give it a try with the existing RG59 cable. While I can't speak
to losses of the coax I haven't had any issues with
the transponder or ATC complaints and I fly out of a towered field. I a
lso have their ADSB box, and the traffic and weather are
fantastic.

Hi Eric,
I have been thinking about a new panel. What size of screen or system did yo
u buy and how was your transition to tapes compared to round gushes?
