The cheap SteinAir crimper (http://www.steinair.com/storedetail.cfm?productid=291) is excellent. If you need to crimp high density pins, you need the high density positioner (http://www.steinair.com/storedetail.cfm?productid=538). I've recently been installing a Garmin GTX328 transponder along with a GNS480 using these tools and very happy with the result. LAS is not selling the high density positioner and the Garmin devices are extensively using high density pins.
