What an idiot I am! (No rush to agree, please.) I was wrong about using Mr Sparkle
as a windshield cleaner, as I found out when visiting the airfield today.
I went to look at the bottle of cleaner which I use routinely, to check what ingredients
might be listed on the label and to my embarrassment I saw that the
stuff is "Pledge". Of course and why didn't I remember? After all, a good aide
memoire is "taking the pledge" and yet I still got it wrong. Who says that it's
the short-term memory which goes first? All of mine seems to be letting me
down and I can only hope that nobody took my earlier advice.
