Has anyone done to mod? is it difficult? I know you will all tell me to leave off the steam. -------- Graeme Bird G-UMPY Mono Classic/XS 912S/Woodcomp 3000/3W Newby: 135 hours 32 months on the Mono g(at)gdbmk.co.uk Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=436088#436088 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 08:33:08 AM PST US From: DAVID JOYCE Subject: Re: Europa-List: long shot - 912uls vac pump gear box bits How urgently do you need them?=0A=0AI will be getting rid of the steam stuf f I the new year!=0A=0AYes I have a 912S=0A=0Argds=0ADJ-=0ASent to you- by David Joyce=0Awww.eastmidsspas.com- =0A-=0APLEASE NOTE WE HAVE MOVED AND ARE NOW AT=0AThe Zycomm Building 51 Nottingham Road Ripley Derbys DE5 3AS=0A160 Meters from Sainsbury's Island=0A-=0ASame Phone 0800 4102122 an d Direct Mobile 07973 675755=0A-=0A =0A=0A_______________________________ _=0A From: graeme bird =0ATo: europa-list@matronics.com =0ASent: Wednesday, 24 December 2014, 14:36=0ASubject: Europa-List: long s hot - 912uls vac pump gear box bits=0A =0A=0A--> Europa-List message poste d by: "graeme bird" =0A=0AThis is a long shot but maybe someone brought the bits to upgrade their 912ULS gear box to drive a vac p ump but never fitted them and would consider selling on to me?=0AHas anyone done to mod? is it difficult?=0AI know you will all tell me to leave off t he steam.=0A=0A--------=0AGraeme Bird=0AG-UMPY=0AMono Classic/XS 912S/Woodc omp 3000/3W=0ANewby: 135 hours 32 months on the Mono =0Ag(at)gdbmk.co.uk=0A =0A=0A=0A=0ARead this topic online here:=0A=0Ahttp://forums.matronics.com/v = ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 09:13:30 AM PST US From: "Bud Yerly" Subject: Re: Europa-List: W26 aft wing socket query OOPses happen. If you are a purist, heat the socket with a small torch and simply pry it off. Make you work faster by simply grinding any Redux off the edges. Use a 12 mm rod to pry it off if you like. Scuff and reinstall with your wings again, just to assure alignment. Drilling a hole in the bottom is all right also. The pivot is manufactured to be symmetrical. I never liked the 3/16 Allen head in the top as in bending, I prefer to see the anti rocking of the socket put a pull on the underlying buildup of glass/wood/aluminum structure rather than compression. Also the pip pin is a tad easier on the install as it is the black hole getting the pin in in bright sunlight or dim hangars.
