Subject: | Redundant Jefferson Chart.... |
Hi!All,
I am requiring a discontinued Jefferson chart.
If anyone has it I would be obliged to hear from them.
I have a VFR/GPS Europe SOUTH Chart of Aerodromes ( overview chart) and
have a non fly project to combine it with the North Chart.
Would anyone having the Europe North Chart who can now spare it kindly
contact me either by e-mail or phone :- 01472 852498.
Regards to all.
Bob Harrison 914 G-PTAG.

Subject: | radio interferance |
Hi All,
Are there any avionics expert who might be able to help ?
I have a Funkwerk ATR833 which has worked ( bar having a new face fitted
) extremely well over the last six years. but now works fine until I
start the engine, then a lot of interference, virtually unreadable both
transmitting and receivering. I did have the panel off to remove the
hard wiring for a gps which I dont need anymore. Sounds like a grounding
problem to me.
I would appreciate any advise.
Regard. Danny. G-c.e.r.i TRI XS

It is nearly impossible to remotely diagnose this problem without wiring diagrams,
photos of the install, etc. Generically, grounding is a possibility.
So, did you check all the resistance values of ground pins on the radio
and the case all the way back to the engine block or negative battery
terminal with a quality ohm meter? All should certainly be less than 0.5
ohms. Generically, there should be no ground loops, all grounds go to
a single point in the panel, then to the other side of the firewall.
Good luck!
