All,
A number of new parts acquired as part of my second-hand kit (121) were duplicated
when i subsequently bought salvage.
As a consequence, several of these are for sale at reduced price. They include
a used/undamaged MT01 engine frame (lightly sandblasted and clear-lacquered to
keep corrosion at bay), a new PC02 intake moulding, 1 new throttle box moulding,
cables and lever, a new coolant radiator and a set of new grey gelcoated
classic cowlings.
Please see the Europa Club website/aircraft parts sales section for pics, email
me directly - or take a look in AFORS and search for ads 35316, 35322, 35317,
35332.
There also some instruments and vacuum systems parts listed under AFORS ads 35319,
35320, 35318, 35337, 35321 and 35365.
Clive.

Paul, Now I come to check it, the 2015 912 installation manual has a
drip tray clearly visible on the front cover picture and it is
referenced in the text, so not a peculiarity of the 914. David

2015 914 installation manual still calls for them to be fitted and shows a diagram
on p93. It could be that this relates to the high manifold pressure having
much greater liability to fuel leaks than the normally aspirated 912s. Have
to say I have never noticed any hint of a leak, but it could be of course that
the system vents it harmlessly out through the air vent, which would not have
been the case had it dropped on the exhaust!

Subject: | Gascolater position |
I am building a mono classic and have a question about the angle of the gascolater.
I am at the moment installing the fuel system, pumps and gascolater, under
the port side baggage area. I haven't yet topped out which makes it all the
easier. I am about to make a hinged flap under the gascolater, however when the
aircraft is on the ground, on its own wheels, I want the gascolater to point
straight down so it's easy to drain, replace the filter etc. So my question is.....using
the top edge of the lower fuselage as a datum what angle should it
be at in order for the gascolater to be positioned to point straight down?
Many thanks Frank

First, I am glad to see there are other properly sized people flying the Europa.
At 255 lbs. and 6 foot, I believe the Europa was designed by a team of elfs,
dwarfs and hobbits.
Getting in the back is a real pain - and don't forget the tail support - the feeling
of the tail going to the floor as you are sliding through the infamous D
hole is exciting.
Use a wide board that fits over the tank and then crawl back on it (Bud Yearly
hint number 756.)

Hi Gary,
I'm 6'5 and with the high top mod find my mono perfect even on long trips. Maybe
the tallest Europa owner!
